I wonder if that's hinting at KBF's Silver Bullet color scheme. Granted I haven't seen nor have I been to the park (KBF)in a long while.
I sort of liked the color contrast that Cedar Point used to have in that area of the park, now it seems that the rides in that area are primary colors and white. (Corkscrew, Power Tower, Dragster, Mantis, and now Iron Dragon) Ah well, its not going to make me more excited about riding it ;).
b!tch, b!tch, b!tch... that's all I hear thus far!
I got no objections with it. Despite it now looking like an extension of TTD... just hanging below the rails now, it's definately an improvement from last year.
Although if they were going to do a full-on paint-job, they should have gone with an entirely new color scheme. The colors could have tricked some peeps into increased ridership. Hey, I would have liked to try it out if the coaster was sayyyyyy... blue, instead of red... or silver.
I can't see the picture either but if the new paint really does match Dragster, then maybe they are hoping to trick people into thinking that Dragster actually does something else besides go up and down.
hey..i have a crappy computer and the link doesn't work..can someone please post a different link (if there is one) or explain the colors to me? thanks! And I know DawgByte sorta explained it..but what parts are those colors? sry..im retarded.. *** Edited 3/23/2004 7:21:45 PM UTC by Dr. DOOM 1289***
My opinion on the new paint job is split. It's nice to see ID getting a face lift, but can't understand why painting a coaster the same color scheme as your newest addition since it's adjacent to it. Mantis is also a next door neighbor. Why not paint ID purple, yellow, and candy apple red?
Let's paint Blue Streak green because of Raptor. Then I guess you would have to rename it. :)
