Iron Dragon's "new" paint job

You can tell the difference in person.
It's Red! It's Orange! It's Red! It's Orange!

Which reminds me, does anybody have pics of Maggie's new paint job?

Start a petition to repaint ID back to the original colors?

Or maybe a petition to put some non-square wheels on it?

I like the colors they make the park feel more alive and it adds to the atmosphere. If Magnum doesn’t get a new paint job it still looks pretty good; soon the whole park will look brand new with all the rides getting new paint jobs can’t wait to see how it will look.

What new paint job? As of yesterday when I left work teh only part painted was the test section from last fall.. hehehe

Those are some nice wintery pics Jeff! :-) Nice.

As for the Dragon's new colors I could care less. I have better things to worry about, like opening day....woohoo!

Hulk Hogan colors.

I can't help but love it.

The real question is;

Are they going to pull a Wildcat and leave the cars (trains) the old color?

I thought Magnum was getting repainted, but I guess not.

I don't think anyone will say that ID's paint job is bad. The negative feelings are based on the 400 foot coaster next to ID that is the same color. I would love to see the coaster as a dark green... like a dragon.

Umm, Dragons can be any color. Go flip through the AD&D Monsterous Manual sometime.

Yeah, when I think dragon, I think red, or green. Heh.

Legal probably isn't the word you want there. Illegal would involve trespassing. That isn't clear from the photos, but it's probably safe to assume that they were taken by someone with permission to be there at the time.

That said, it's just in good taste to ask first before posting off-season photos. The park has been restrictive in the past, especially with new ride construction. Whether you're a seasonal employee, media person, or just a friend of the park, there are advantages to playing by the rules. Equally, there are disadvantages by not doing so.

Nice Maddox reference.

But this isn't just a dragon. This is an IRON dragon. So what color would that be?

-Uncle Jay

The way I see it, this is part of a grand scheme to introduce McDonald's sponsorship to CP.

"Would you like some early 'Flying' cars with your Supersized Coaster, sir?"

Next year, they'll paint Snake River Falls the same colors and we'll have a complete Extra Value Meal.

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

Well iron is grey/silver. Iron oxides...many different colors.
Wasn't it grey (iron) and red (dragon) before? :)
I'm with Raptor Pilot: the appropriate color would be "rust".
