Reprofile Legend's Helix!?!?!

CJ - if you lowered the mid-point of Legend's helix it would increase the speed and laterals in the second half. While I do recall a noticable slowing during the day I seem to remember trains zomming right past that high point during ERT. I think the helix is about as intense as the park wants it to be...remember few of their guests are coaster nuts like us.

Well that does it. I'm kicking myself senseless for not ever attending SRM even though I was only 4 hours north at Purdue. I always went on light days to maximize the lap count. Last time 14 Legend, 47 Raven.

Now that I'm living out in Denver, I miss HW like an old friend. I'm impulsively buying my airfare tomorrow for SRM.

And MagnumForce, seat 1-2 on Twister is grand. I only rode twice on my first and only trip to Knobels last summer. That park was so fun! I need to make it to PPP one of these years too.

CJ - over two days at SRM you should be able to get that many rides if not more.

If you don't like laterals, why the heck would you like Legend more than Raven? :)

I like the helix the way it is, although I do admit it makes the Legend a little less rerideable.

Moosh, heard that SRM is packed with sometimes 45 minute waits for Raven Friday night.

I'm not an enthusiast, I just play one on message boards.

Homey - I've been to SRM three years running and even with the crowds of last year I never waited more than 30 minutes for either coaster. The lines really move fast. Of course you will find longer waits for the front and back, but if you are happy riding there once or twice and the rest in the middle you can get a ton of rides.

Be sure to wear a Purdue t-shirt, to get under Will Koch's skin! He's a Notre Dame grad and really razzes anyone who went to P.U. (including his father, one of his brothers and one of his sisters). It's all a big joke, of course, but it would be a great way to start an animated conversation with Will.

Dang, Paula! After hearing your story about Will & Purdue I really wish I were going to be at SRM this year. After "Operation Mothers Day" in 2001 and "Operation Graduation" last year it would have been fun to organize an "Operation Purdue" for Will...perhaps present him with a Purdue sweatshirt or something? Oh well...maybe next year ;)

Who the heck is Steve Kerr? Well, I did a Google search, found a photo and ...looks like Brandon! Brandon Berg is our Director of Human Resources, a really nice guy. He says people ask him all the time if he's related to the big guy.

Orbitz was ahead of its time... now those Indian "bubble" teas are really catching on. The bubbles are tapioca. I don't know what the Orbitz bubbles were, but probably the same...

Den - I'm pretty sure they were gelatin. Orbitz taked really good but there was something rather "odd" about suddenly feeling those squishy globs in your mouth. IMO it wasn't the taste that killed the drink, it was the sensation of drinking it.

Moosh - will have to check out some of them Indian teas...
