Reprofile Legend's Helix!?!?!

Moosh - the weird thing about Orbitz is that the bubbles floated in random locations. The "bubble" teas just have a pile of bubbles in the bottom, and you scoop them out or suck them through a special straw.

Orbitz was absolutely disgusting... Nothing at all like bubble tea (taste-wise), which is absolutely yummy. I'm not sure what the stuff in Orbitz was made out of.

Den - yeah, Orbitz was definitely one of the best looking bottled sodas around...I always thought of it as "futuristic retro 60s"...kind of like something you'd see in a Jetson's cartoon. Apparantly Pepsi still makes it, or so I am told.

If Orbitz tasted as good as it looked, I'm sure it would have done better.

Next thing we know there will be Orbitz in all the free soda (pop) machines just in time for SRM.

It's all pop if you ask me.

Orbitz, which I completely forgotten about until today, was spooky. Also weird are those "flavor crystals" in gums like Extra Polar Ice and Mint-a-Burst. Chew some and see.

I'm going to look for some of these bubble teas this afternoon.

I'm not sure if you can buy Bubble Tea in stores yet, Dawn. Here is a place that you can get some DIY kits:

http://www.bubbleteasupply.com/

There are a bunch of places that serve it in Chinatown, so maybe you may want to stop and check it out the next time you're up here.

chris - do you want me to pick up some bubble teas for your Solace visit? Or will Schlitz suffice?

*bubble tea* certainly sounds a LOT better than some fizzy product with "orbs of unknown origin" floating around in it...

bill, happy he never even saw Orbitz...that Slurm product at PPP was bad enough for me...;)

Dawn, isn't Champaign a college town? Bet you have a "bubble" tea cafe around somewhere.

Den - I'm pretty sure they were gelatin. Orbitz taked really good but there was something rather "odd" about suddenly feeling those squishy globs in your mouth. IMO it wasn't the taste that killed the drink, it was the sensation of drinking it.

Moosh - will have to check out some of them Indian teas...

Well Moosh, when you put *certain things* in your mouth, you should expect to get a "squishy surprise" ;) Kinda like creamsicles....:)

lata, jeremy

Champaign is indeed the home of the University of Illinois. Though for a Big 10 campus, our "campus town" is not all that. I'll have to ask one of these "pesky students" ;) hanging around my office about bubble tea.

Jeremy - I can't believe they passed that one, too. And no one saw *this* one, either:

"Orbs of unknown origin" wasn't good enough for you people....geez!

Now as for the *face-first into a Zipper* comment....c'mon, that's just TOO easy...:)

I made a great double entendre in the "track paint stripes" thread (or something like that) and I got ripped for it! Sheesh.
