I haven't been to the park in a while... anything going on construction-wise for 2003? Discussions on St Louis have been pretty thin lately.

Go Cards!!

There is nothing going on at the park for 2003 construction and nobody is talking about anything happening.

In my opinion the hyper is probably out and we should still get the Intamin stand-up gyro drop and maybe some other flat rides.

Still hear every once and while rumors of an Intamin drop tower or hyper coaster. Not sure if they are solid rumors or just wishful thinking. Park needs some flat rides that is for sure.

Go Cards! I really hope that they do build something. A gyro-drop or a hyper is fine with me. The people at SF really need to see that SFSL has some real potential.

Just a curious observation after visiting sunday evening. Employee parking has been moved to the main parking lot! Any clue as to why? Just curious.

There were a couple of large corrugated metal tubes in the graveyard last weekend... but they might have been for the haunted houses.

Well from rumors that I have heard - if you ride the Boss you might be able to see pieces of next year's ride arriving soon. I can't verify that, but that is what I have heard.

First off there has always been employee parking in the lower lot (or GP lot). Employees are usally forced too park down there in the morning.

And second off the only place that they would have parts of a new ride arriveing that you could see from the Boss would be the upper employee parking lot and/or the place behind warehouse were they store all those storage containors. And both places are kinda small so what ever it is it cant be too much.

And besides why would parts for a ride appear already when there has been no apparent preping.

Probably the same reason that GADV and GrAM both started receiving coaster parts before one single footer was poured. Since SFSTL's is probably a drop tower, it won't need to take up much space, so it might be possible.

I questioned the premature delivery of track at GADV and GrAM and it looks like SF defied logic in those instances. I wouldn't put it past them in this case either.

I personally keep hearing "drop tower" up near Tidal Wave on "Eagle Hill". But, then they could be leading me in the wrong direction - blast those "blue tags". :)

When I was at the park in September there were indeed markers and earth moved around the area to the right of Tidal wave leading out and to the right behind hurricane harbor. But, who knows what it was for... ;)

Chris,

If you are going to give them THAT much information, you might as well spill it all -- oh wait you already almost did. :)

Don't they usually use an earth mover in the Hayride they do behind the Tidal Wave? Maybe they were just getting ready for that.

true, but they have never done any earth moving in that corner behind Hurrican Harbor before and its definitely visible that something is going on back there.

Also for all of you hear, many of you have seen the advertisments saying the parks last operating day is Oct. 27 well the park changed its mind in late sept. and the last operating weekend will be the third. Keep this in mind the park will be deserted, because most people assume the park clsoes after Oct. And yes i knwo the web site says other wise along will every other advertisement.

Chris I noticed the same thing you did and the park did have a good year so maybe Six Flags will be putting in a new coaster.
