My first loop as well, at about the same age....it was my father that "talked" me onto the ride.....I didn't get HOOKED 'til Montu in the 1998-99 season.

Another ride, although not a coaster would be Vertigo at Cedar Point. I almost forgot about the Dogem cars from CP that are now at MA.

Haha... I rode that too. It's pretty damn fun. It's not too hard to get to for me, since I live in Alameda County. It's pretty funny you mentioned it. Besides, does a travelling carnival ride count though?

IF you count Travelling Carnival Rides, I would have to add Reithoffer Show's Flitzer when it was at the York Fair (York PA) the past two years. Not saying that the coaster is rare, but after an accident on it last September, I doubt if it will ever show up in York again.

Hi CP Lady....yes yes yes I remember, I didn't go, but I did read about it in my 16 magazine!
Oh no! :) I used to go on Detroit Police picnic day, in the early 70's, and the last time I went was 1978....when it was kind of discofied. I liked it better in it's psychedlic motif. What a great park. I visit it in my dreams sometime. It sure had a feel to it. I guess there used to be quite a few parks around this area.

- Windjammer Surf Racers (both red & yellow; short lived ride 31/2 years)

- Wacky Soap Box Racers

- X (considering the current dilemma)

- Screaming Condor (doubt anybody else here has flown overseas to Taiwan to ride this Impulse coaster)

I would have to say for me would be the now absent zambezi zinger (sp) at Worlds of Fun or Wild Thing without the b-block breaks on. The air time on that thing is intense. You hit the camel humps at about 63 miles an hour (unlike the tame 54-55 you get with the breaks on)...the only downfall is the screeching halt as you come into the station....but my fav no matter what :)

Gee, I guess I'm the only one who ever rode the Big Bend at SFOT! And all the rare junk at SFAW, the Joker's Revenge, and of course the legendary Mr. Freeze! Only two of those! RIP, Excalibur, I don't miss you at all!

Liked Regina, huh? There are some sweet Intamin woodies over there. Man I wish I could ride White Cyclone again!

I guess if you want to you could consider the Japanese coasters you and I (and a few others) have ridden rare. Of note would probably be a Togo mine train, and a Togo kiddie coaster, and a Togo interactive coaster. Never going to find any of those around here. They were actually fun! :)

I can safely say the only coaster on my list is King Kobra. Unless we want to say a 4D, since not that many people have ridden it.

Besides coasters, I have ridden KCKC at PKI, and Rocket Rods at Disneyland.
