The rare coasters on your track record???

A rare coaster that I have been on would have to be Leap-The-Dips considering there are only 2 remaining side-friction coasters in the world. Another coaster that I have been on that is recently defunct is King Cobra. But other than those two all my other coasters are pretty common and still standing.

My rarest of the rare.....drum roll please...

Wild mouse at Pedroland in South of the Border

Cost me eight bucks and a two hour drive for one ride, but I think it was worth it due to obscurity. We had to wait for the lone ride operator of the park to come back off his lunch break. Spent the rest of the time browsing through the largest collection of fireworks imaginable. I don't know anyone else who has ever been on this one.

Mountain Express (defunct) @ MM, pre-SF
Speaking of which, Revolution & Collossus, before they were neutered. Also, Sarejevo Bobsleds.
Coaster Thrill Ride and Wildcat, @ WWSF, because it's only open for three weeks a year, as previously noted.
Williard's Whizzer @ GA, pre-P
V2@SFMW, before modifications
Lightninng Bolt @MGM, first year
Ice Mountain Bobsleds, @ EF in Turner, OR, because it's kinda off the beaten path.
Jet Star, @SCBB; rode it many times there, and still do at it's current home @ Thrillville, also near Turner, OR.
Oh, and does Rocket Rods @DL count?

Well, There are several rides I have been lucky to ride. For example, the Wild Mouse at Shady Lake Park. I have no clue where that has gone. Plus rides now closed like the Thunder Eagle down in Pigeon Forge or even rides removed recently like King Cobra.

I had no idea the Thunder Eagle is SBNO.

That one is on my list too.

Railblazer at SFStl and Rolling Thunder at SFGam.

So, would you like to tie me up with your ties, Tye? Lacy Underall "Caddyshack"

Believe this one or not, but WindJammer at Knott's Berry Farm.

My first, and last ride on WindJammer was X-Mas 1999. After reading around and stuff, I'm somewhat proud that I was one of the last people to ride the coaster.

My head still hurts though...

Here is my short list.

Blazing Fury, Dollywood

Thunder Express (Defunct), Dollywood

Chaos (Defunct), Opryland

Rock-N-Roller Coaster (Defunct), Opryland

Screamin' Delta Demon (Defunct), Opryland

Wabash Cannonball (Defunct), Opryland

I literally missed out on the Bat. It was SBNO before I got my chance. As for the Screamon Demon, I just didn't have enough nerve at that point to ride. I hope (crossing my fingers) that Camdem Park fixes her up. I can hope can't I?

My pseudo-obscure coasters are:

1) Drachen Fire, before the changes, circa May 1992....may she rest in beautiful sleep. Perhaps I will buy a refrigerator or washing machine made with her steel at a later date?

2) Bavarian Mountain Railroad at Portopialand in Kobe, Japan. It rocks, and has the super tight Schwarzkopf turns. Aw, yeah..........

3) Daidarasaurus at Expoland in Suita City, Japan. I was able to ride it as a racing coaster in 1998, and last summer as a mobius coaster. I rode both sides in 1998, and they were called "Super Speed Type 1" and "Many Curves Type II." That rules in itself!

4) Anything else in Japan............:)

Check out my website!

Screechin' Eagle at Americana in 1998. I believe that was its last operating year before the reopening this year with some CCI changes. :)

-----------------
Welcome "aboard" Wicked Twister. Please keep your hands and arms inside the midway at all times.

1999 was the last year of Ameracana

Short list
King Cobra Pki (1984-2001)
Scooby Zoom (sarcasim)

-----------------
Part of a Flight Attendant's arrival announcement: "We'd like to thank you folks for flying with us today. And, the next time you get the insane urge to go blasting through the skies in a pressurized metal tube, we hope you'll think of us."

Joker's Revenge @ Six Flags Fiesta Texas

Excalibur @ Six Flags Astroworld

Ultra Twister @ Six Flags Astroworld (Only one in North America, I consider that pretty rare)

Batman: The Escape @ Six Flags Astroworld (Only Intamin Standup in the U.S.)

Texas Tornado @ Six Flags Astroworld (Last Schwarzkopf to leave the Schwarzkopf plant, not the BHS plant)

Greezed Lightnin' @ Six Flags Astroworld (One of the few remaning Shuttle Loops, none the less, a Flywheel model, that kicks butt!)

More will come when I go to SFoT. LOTS of rare coasters there.

X!! Heh heh. :)
Let see, what else:
Magnum, brakeless
High Roller, brakeless (Valley Fair)
Those two are totally different experiences with no trims.
Then there's:
Steel Phantom
Mister Twister (defunct)
And lots more defunct coasters, but nothing many enthusiasts haven't ridden, i.e., Zinger, EXT, Tidal Wave....
-------------
-Matt in Iowa
Just 15 miles from 2 CCI's.
193 coasters ridden -- #1 Shivering Timbers
Michael Darling, CCI really didn't change much of anything on Eagle. They just replaced some aging wood, which happened to be the track on the first drop and hill. They also did the work to it in the 90's as well.

OH MY GOD flickchick

, anyone who goes to South of the Border is A-Ok in my book.

Deja Vu is an amazing ride in itself, i was lucky to get stuck on it just after the loop back in June at SFGA. That was alright though because of the walk on ride passes and free drink ticket i recieved.
The Little Dipper at Indiana beach. It was an Alan Heschell oval track kiddie coaster. Much like Fun Spot's Safari Coaster. The coaster ran through the mid 70's and was scrapped I think.
-------------
Mike Middleton of Urbana, Indiana
Speed Boarder at Sega's Joypolis in Tokyo. Ever heard of it? Neither had I.

And...Steel Dragon 2000...I guess.
-------------
TOGO!

Soap Box Derby Racers and Head Jabber, I mean Wind Jammer. Oh yeah and for all of you people who rode Revolution and Colosus before anyone effed them up, I officially hate you...lol.

-----------------
"Excitement, Adventure. A Jedi Craves Not These Things."

Let's see, Drachen Fire in 92 before they took out the 6th inversion...they should have just given it lapbars and let the coaster stay...*sigh*

King Cobra at PKD....an Anton S. shuttle loop, that incidentally was my first looping coaster, when i was about age 9. My sister made me ride it with her, i was scared to death because it only had a lapbar, but after one spin on it, i was hooked. I rode it every season until they took it away in 86 ( i think that was the year) and from what i remember, the launch was pretty intense.

Hardest to get to:

Olympia at Alameda County Fairgrounds

Medusa at Six Flags Mexico

Diavlo

Rarest Coasters in record:

Kootomba Scenic Railway(I think a 587 foot drop is rare)

Aconcaqua at at Parque de la Ciudad

Vertigorama at Parque de la Ciudad

Defunct or SBNO Coasters:

Gambit
