Has B&M fallen off their top spot. I mean the last few B&M's have been highly criticized and now reports that their rides are rough. two weaks ago I rode nitro and medusa and they both seamed rough ,not pain full just bumpy but not the smooth riding expirience I im expect from B&M . Also when compared to goliath, nitro was kinda dull. I still love B&M im just saying the last few i have ridden have been kind of disapointing . what do you think . has B&M lost it.

Ummmmmmmmm, no! Just because one or two rides are going through some rough stages doesn't mean the whole company " has lost it ". They will build something soon that will bring you back to your senses.

Yes. Both Bolliger and Mallibard recently committed themselves into a Swiss Saniterium because they couldn't cope with the fact that a few enthusiasts don't think their rides are intense enough. The stress was enough to drive them to insanity. It is a very sad day.

:)

Sorry, I'm in a weird mood tonight.

Didn't Batman the Ride and The Riddlers Revenge just have pretty major breakdowns at SFMM?

B&M are only getting better. It's just that certain other companies *cough* Intamin *cough* are getting better at even a faster pace with a wider array of innovations, IMHO. S:UF is a GREAT ride, but I am already sensing a little bumpiness in the final helix.

Well B:TR at SFGAm is 10 years old and I think it's still running very smooth and intense.

I think the "bumpiness" of the ride depends on the day and the conditions. I rode B:TDK this week once in the morning and it gave it's usual silky smooth ride. Later in the day, after it rained, the ride re-opened and it was bumping and shaking, especially in the corkscrews. I've had other experiences with other B&M's that every ride is a little different, especially Medusa and Batman: The Ride. I think it's nothing a little maintenance can't fix.

B&M is *STILL* the only company (save GCI) that has yet to make a *bad* coaster. You all can say what you want, but until you can prove that B&M shat out a BS ride, they're still tops to me (even if I do hate Raptor and Hulk ;))

I haven't been on any of the new for 2K2 beemers, but like Jeremy said (ugh, not again), I've yet to ride a bad one. When they put out a ride that stinks out loud, maybe you'll have a valid point.

Does it really matter which company is "best?" If there were no competition between companies, what would be the incentive to innovate, or to lower prices? All you B&M haters seriously need to find a rally to participate in or find some way to channel that extra energy.

Nitro? Rough?? OMFG

Nitro has gotta be one of the smoothest and most intense coasters I've ever been on. Lord help us if you ever ride a woodie.

"Highly criticized"???? Maybe a few enthusiasts criticize B&M, but ask the majority of guests, and they won't even know or care that the ride vibrated a little bit.

In order for a company to fall off the top, another company has to be better than them and right now B&M are definatly still on top.

Two things. First off a bumby coaster is simply a sign of aging and I thing it can actually add fun to a ride I find Loch Ness Monster getting better every year because of bumbs. Also as far as their last 1 or 2 coasters not being great dose not mean its a bad company. Everybody "screws up" every once in a while.

Nitro is king, nuff said. Yea the train vibrated a little at the bottom of the first drop but it takes nothing from that ride. Smoothest ride I ever rode, and the best ride I ever rode. Long live B&M :)

I couldn't agree more. B&M has no weak rides and I also agree GCI doesn't either. I'll take Lightning Racer over any CCI.

I rode Superman at Madrid, myself and my wife said it is the worst B&M to date. We have rode around 30 of the B&M's in the world and this was the worst. It seemed to be the track that was a bit bendy in places, and the trim brakes after the first loop and after the boomerang. But I would still ride a B&M instead of any arrow coaster on the planet. (not including X at MM)

Intamin cloning Impulses???? They have only have two cloned impulses (S:UE, V2 (SFGAm) the rest are origional in some sort of way. But yet B&M is STILL cloning Batmans. I have to admit X is having problems, but it is an amazing ride, and a great concept.
