Last of a kind rides.
What rides are still operating that are the last of there kind left? At SFGAm they have the Whizzer: last Schwartkopf speed racer coaster, The SkyWhirl: last triple ferris wheel. What other rides are out there that no other place has them running?

Off the top of my head, I can only think of a few..
Noah's Ark @ Kennywood (although I hear there is another at BPB in Great Britain)
Whip @ Kennywood (I could be wrong here...)
If you caught the special "Great Old Amusement Parks" I think there are several other rides mentioned that are the "last of their kind"

there are no under carriage wheels on a side friction. the cars only have wheels that run on the "wooden" track and wheels on the side of the car that hit off "wooden" guide rails. No big drops on this or steep hills. It's rather slow too about 10 mph or so. So basicly if it had steep drops and bunny hills it would fly off the track.
Let's not forget some of the rides at LaSourdsville Lake (a.k.a. Americana) Amusement Park. I don't know them from the top of my head, but I'm sure that they have some. Do any of you know?

SFMM still has their Rotor near the Goldrusher, and I think I remeber hearing SFOT still has one.
Although not the last of their kind, two rides that are becoming very scarce are the Parachute drop rides and the gondola/sky rides. KBF just removed their Parachute drop and PGA is the last big park out here on the West Coast that still has their skyride. Hope the parks back East that still have these rides keep em, I love these rides, even if they aren't the most thrilling!

The Wonder Wheel at Coney Island is a 250' Ferris Wheel with SWINGING cars. It's been there since the 1920's and is still a great ride.
When they closed down Steeplechase park in the 1960's they sold the Horse Race roller coaster to someplace in England. That was a cool ride where you sat on one of 6 horses and raced up and down hills and around a building. You really had to hang on for dear life.

SFAW has one of the few remaining Flywheel Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loopers. It also has the only Togo Pipeline in the coninent, and the only Intamin Stand-up in the U.S. AW is one of the few parks with a sky-ride left I think.
