Maybe I am way off. But that Intamin track resembles Millenium Force's (obviously), and why should Germany be the only country to get a huge ride this year???

Yeah, and the supports do not match millenium forces.

The coaster is definitely not a Giga. First off, the spot where the coaster is going to go is tiny. It is about the size of two football fields. Secondly, the people around Knott's would protest (and probably burn the park down) if Knott's put in a giga (or even a hyper in that location). Thirdly, IT IS NOT A GIGA.

Nope, not a Giga. In fact, it's not even a hyper. The area the coaster's going into is VERY small.

I didn't know how big the site was, but I really don't think it's an impulse.

No, not an impulse either. Think launched, think sit down, think small footprint with about a 3,000ft track length that twists in and around itself.

Doesn't anyone remember that Knott's Orange County height variance permit? It mentioned some specifics of the ride...

There are no height restrictions placed upon the park by the city. The property's three tallest structures are like this -
- Supreme Scream : 325'
- VertiGo : 265'
- Sky Cabin : 220'

Well I certainly didn't imagine that Knott's filed something. In most cases you have to tell local government if you plan to build a structure. I'll try and find the file.

It could be a sit down looper?

You got it. Besides, why in the world would Intamin use a new type of launch system?

Here is my opinion, I think it is not a Giga or Hyper. Nor a Impulse. When you see MF's track, it doesnt automatically mean GIGA! Look at Expidtion GeForce!
Anyway, i bet my butt on a sitdown looper. 3000 to 4000 ft of track 4 or so inversions. because i have heared of the site and it dont look to big to me. So it be perfect.

DWeaver, are you (kinda) suggesting an Intamin variety of Premiers' spaghetti-bowl. CoasterCon only 7 months away...and counting...

Hmmm, I'm not really sure if it ISN"T going to be something big like a hyper or a giga. Some of those supports are pretty big. A lot of the track pieces are not twists and turns but are straight and barely arch. This is what leads me to thinking that they might actually be building something big. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but what are the chances that the coaster will cross the street from the old Windjammer site to the site where all the track pieces lay?

The site in which they are building the intamin is very small.
Knotts is one of the smallest sites I have seen for an amusement park...They are running out of room and have no where to expand!
so, no this is not a giga coaster, they barely would have enough room for a lauched one or a sit down looper...
Hope that answers your q

You never know! Did they specify that the site will only take up that little space??? Maybe they will go over to the area where the track is layed right now. I don't think they said "this is the site and this is the only area to be used."
