All I know its supposed to open in March, and there not just going to use the area were Windjammer is, think Jaguar, they use like all Fiesta Village, so this coaster can use all boardwalk. Plus I THINK it'll be lap bars only, so maybe just one inversion
Knott's has room to expand, they can build a structure and use the parking lot land, they also own all the land that the supports and the track is on right now. It's going to be a hyper 205 ft tall. I KNOW THE LAYOUT. Just like I knew that the CP coaster was going to be an Impuse. No way it's going to be a giga. It's going to be launched with the hydrolic launch system. Launch into the tallest point in the ride which will be an inversion hardly seen. It will have a figure 8 typer layout and will have 1 or 2 bunny hops, I even know the name, it begins with a "X" but I won't say the rest.

People didn't believe me about the Impulse at CP and I was right. If you don't believe me about this then I don't care but remember that I said this!

There sure are alot of sixteen year olds with connections! I shouldn't talk though, because I'm one of them hehe...

I'm not saying your lying, but just how in the hell do you get away with saying so much about the ride and not worry about losing your source? Sounds irresponsible to me. If you really do know, maybe you should learn a thing or two about keeping what you know to yourself.

OK, some of what you said was possibly believable (although I still don't know where people are getting a hydrolic launch system from.  Anyone care to illuminate?) however......No way would CF build any star attraction with a name that starts with "X".  A little park down the street is opening a huge coaster that happens to be named "X".  What other options are there for a name starting with "X"?  Nothing that wouldn't cause way more confusion than Cedar Fair would allow between two competitors and their star attractions.

Chris Seen I have one question. Will the trains have lap bars, or otsrs?
I think it will be something like Volcano, I haven't read any info about this coaster yet so im just guessing this by looking at the track and the site.  Im thinking launched Invert full circuit.

thts funny, i said that to my friend yesturday, but thats a box square track, volcano is a triangle track. It does how ever say new thrill rideS, so maybe there could be a launched invert, but this ride, will probably be a sit down, and i dont think any inversions, closest probably going on the outside of a top hat
One more thing. I talked to a maintance worker at Knotts, and he said Tall, and steep, and said REALLY FAST. I go REALLY FAST, cause he was super enthustiatic when he said really, and fast. I can kinda trust the maintance workers, since there kind of starting to work on the ride, now. Pretty soon I'll even trust the workers. (LOL!!)
Don't trust the workers.  And by the way, if you think that they can build where the track is laying now, its not going to happen.

First, it is THE employee parking lot.

Second, it has houses on 3 sides of it.   If it is this much of a problem with the park across the street, anything there is right in their backyard.

Knotts 2002...ready when you are!

Hydrolic Launced is the same way that aircraft carriers do it and they are very accurate on their launches. That is why they will try that system for the first time on a COASTER. The way that I can get away with saying some of this stuff is because I have many sources. There is no ONE person who told me all of this. I have confirmed the stats and such with a few people who all know the same thing. This includes phone conversations with people who know the deal. I really don't care if you believe me. YES, it will have something to do with "X" in the title, believe it or not it will. You will see!
have we ruled out the possibility of setpoint's floorless?

Yo man, It's Hydraulic, not "hydrolic" . And are you sure about that Aircraft Carrier theory? From what I understand those ships have a nuclear reactor on board that creates steam pressure for the catapult. Just my understanding.

The launches are neumatic, not hydraulic. Neumatic uses air, hydraulic uses fluid. Air craft carriers to the best of my knowledge do use steam to create pressure.

And no, it's not a Setpoint ride (duh), and it's not air launched. Why is that the simplest answer in light of the evidence can't be accepted?

DWeaver, are you (kinda) suggesting an Intamin variety of Premiers' spaghetti-bowl.  CoasterCon only 7 months away...and counting...

Actually, more of a figure eight layout, with a top hat and overbanked turn seperating the other elements.

Am I the only one having a hard time accepting that this coaster is a sit-down looper?  I'm not quite sure a standard looping coaster would make waves amongst the general public, for at least a few reasons:

1) Knott's already has two sit-down loopers, Montezuma's Revenge and the Boomerang.

2) (Considering that the coaster is indeed "launched") Knott's already has two sit-down loopers with "unconventional" lift hills

3) The park just removed a sit-down looper (Windjammer)

With X soon opening, and Deja Vu and DCA all having opened within the past year or so in the LA area, I think that Knott's would go wth something a little more "marketable" than a sit-down (read: standard) looping coaster, regardless of how cool an Intamin model would be.

Then again, just my $.02.

It's not a sit down looper. Would you call hypersonic or Mr. Freeze a sit down looper?  I don't know where people got that one from, it will feature 0 inversions.

I would call rides like Mr. Freeze and Speed:TR, and Flight of Fear sit down loopers. They also just happen to be launched instead of having a lift hill.

We know it is Intamin, so at least headbanging will not be an issue. I just rode California Screamin at DCA again the other day. I cannot wait for Knott's to have something that smooth but faster and more intense.

As long as it opens on time I'll be extatic. SoCal has had enough delayed openings. BTW, how long has it been since WindJammer actually closed... SHEESH!

I think it will be 2 years in April.

I got a promotion at work, and I have less time at work to fart around on the net. I also have a mega-commute, so less time at home too. I still read, but post much less.
