Zforce at SFoG

Shaggy, Z-Force was in the same spot that the Ninja is located now.

I'll play devil's advocate some more because I like the fact that [so far] we've been able to discuss this and not argue.

Rollo sez:

"If Ghostrider was moved to another park, the experience would be diffrent. The views would be completely diffrent... (would there be a shed? how bout the view around the turn before the block brake?). Would the queue be as themed at another park?"

I'm still not sure I understand that argument. By that reasoning one could argue that Iron Dragon should be counted twice because Dragster is now along side it and the view while riding Iron Dragon is completely different.

Boblo - I've explained myself and my methods fully already.

But see 'Moosh, it is in its original location. If it was moved from one place to another that had exactly the same surroundings, then I could possibly see counting it as one. But the chances of finding a park with the exact same surroundings would be pretty much impossible!

Say that Iron Dragon was moved to another park and was placed on top of a mall and had some of the turns go over the sides of the building.... would that change the ride?? I think so!

Basically, the ride would have to be moved for it to be considered as another credit.. but thats just me :)

My list uses columns for park and ride so if the location or name are changed, CHA-CHING, chalk up another credit. Racer and recaR make two. Possession is 9/10ths of the law and documention is the other 1/10th. If it looks right on your list it is right. That reminds me to check my list for Shockwave at SFMM and Batman:The Escape SFAW.

Moosh, you're no fun anymore. :(

Each of the B&M Inverteds themed to Batman at Six Flags parks are different installations, they happen to have the same [or mirrored] layout.

This is what im getting at! Each installation that Z-Force has been through has been a diffrent one. Although it might be the same steel, it is diffrent. Just because the track has not been changed, doesn't mean the surroundings haven't changed. Sure it might feel like the same ride that was at SFoG, but the rest is completely diffrent.

Corey - I understand what you're trying to say. It's your method and that's fine. My counting method does not take "surroundings" or "experiences" into account.

Boblo - I am still fun. If I wanted to re-count a coaster every time it went thru maintenance I'd have a million coasters on my count. Sorry but to me that's ridiculous. Its like saying I'm a different person because I've shed and regrown skin [as all humans do].

I also don't understand why you count by "name." Does that mean you count SFMM's Revolution as "The Great American Revolution," "Revolution," and "Revolucion" ? If not, why?

rOLLo, don't forget the different foundation.

Moosh, if Psyclone were retired from SFMM and picked up by Holiday World or more realistically Knoebels and given their TLC would you still count it as the same ride?

"No need to ride it there since I've already ridden it at the mountain."

Revolution? I guess that is two more, maybe only one more if I just count original and evil new restraint version. Naaahhhhh. Just if the name change means a difference like Avalanche Run/Disaster Transport. Can't count Avalanche Run since I didn't ride it in its naked days. Colossus and sussoloC count as two since the ride is very different in my book.

Moosh - You and Hamburger have the same method. Damn you two for making me sound like a credit whore even more than I already am! ;)

LOL Corey. There's a joke there but I'll behave.

Mike - if Psyclone were moved to another park and got some TLC I would not recount it. Have I not made that abundantly clear before?

People - there is *absolutely nothing* you can say to get me to change my method.

Well Kip Ross would kick my ass if I ever thought about riding "that ride" before his version!

Needless to say, I'll leave that credit to Rob :)

How about erasing its old record and giving it a clean slate. Or are you going to hold its past against it forever? Poor Psyclone can't get anymore credit from you even after a complete rehabilitation.

Mike - If Psyclone were improved it's rank on my ballot for Mitch's poll would change, but it would still only occupy one slot in my track record.

Nice try, tho ;)

Do you use that rule for clones 3r1c?

Heh...heh...heh...Moosh said slot.

Now I'm talking to imaginary posters. Help me, I'm going insane.

LOL Bob, yes you are talking to imagnary posters, or I just accidently deleted my post ;)

I would count clones, but if your talking about a relocated coaster, I count it as one. Clones are each a different coaster, but when you relocate a coaster, it's the same type of steel you've ridden somewhere else, just not in the exact area.

I thought Moosh's answer was really obvious, as I count them the same, but I can see a lot of your points. That said, a different ride, in a different place is a credit in my book, no ifs ands or buts. If it is a ride I rode at SFGam like Z-force, and now it is at SFMM as Flashback, it is still only 1 credit. The song remains the same....;)

I'm hearing voices in my head again but they've changed their message..........

Moosh, did you count both of Cedar Points Wildcats, assuming you've ridden both? I've only ridden the current one. I remember seeing but not riding Wildcat/Rails(VF) over by the defunct FUnHOuse back in the early 70s before I became addicted.
