You looked foward to, but was let down when.......

I looked forawd to Superman: Krypton Coaster, and it didn't deliver.  I didn't get the feeling of speed and it was too spread out!

Am I alone?  What did you look foward to, but you got let down?

I looked forward to riding Deja Vu last saturday, but was let down.

When I heard that SWOA is not getting a new (giga)coaster for next year!

ALL CLEAR!

I WAS supposed to got to the SFgadv celebatyion but my dad bombed the whole thing on that saturday. I'm used to it now.

Also I wanted a stand up at Great Adventure, but the dream is fading away.

Deja Vu. The stupid thing was closed when I was there, and it has a low height limit, and I'm way too close to it.

Magnum and Millenium Force.

Magnum was way to rough, and MF seemed boring after the first drop :(

Goliath

I wanted a true hyper you now the kind that delievers airtime lol. I was hoping  for something along the lines of Superman Ros@ SFNE but that's not at all what we got. Instead we got a huge non-steep drop, a bunnyhop and a helix WHERE"S THE REST OF IT!

Wow, you guys are tough to please. Stop over-hyping coasters, and you won't have a problem.

All coasters are not created equal, but I've never ridden one I didn't have fun on, and that's *all* I expect from them.

The Raven - It was fun, and I really liked it. It just didn't live up to the hype. It's got everything I would normaly like: Use of terrain, tunnel, air, and a unique layout. I just got off and said "Huh?" Perhaps if I had never read anything about it, I would have liked it more. Now the Legend, on the other hand, absolutely blew me away 100%. I've never enjoyed a coaster so much.

I looked forward to riding Test Track.  Two and a half years later I still looked forward to it.  I was impressed, however, once it was finally ready to go.
The only woodies that have let me down were the "tamed" Mean Streak and RWB this year.  Two years ago, MS was WAY better.  The only steelie that disappointed was Steel Force...looked like air hills galore, but I never left my seat...

I only rode two coasters I "did not have fun on". One was RC-48 at Morey's Piers (it really banged up my knees on the seat in front of me), and, as I said, BatWing (I thought my sternum was going to break against that restraint). Not fun at all.

I think this thread refers to coasters you've ridden and were let down by the ride elements.  You all need to stop whining about Deja Vu not being open on Saturday at SFGAm...there was nothing that could have bee done, and no warning that what happened would happen.  Get over it.

As far as rides that let me down...Raging Bull.  It has a great first drop but the rest of the ride pretty much crawls thru the elements because of their height.  But I like a more intense coaster and Bull really isn't an intense coaster.

Getting to ride Stealth only two times instead of three. Damn early line closing policy.

No my friend you have it all wrong. It is not *us* who is hyping, rather everyone else. You hear over and over how great a ride is and it cant help but affect you.

Anyway, for me it was (no not Raptor, rode it LONG before I heard talk about it) The Incredible Hulk Coaster. It was not bad at all. Just not the "greatest invention since sliced bread". Dueling Dragons on the other hand really WAS all that!

It is intersting that Hulk received so much pre-opening hype from both the park and coasters fans, but once all the smoke cleared, people now say the ride isn't all that great. I still say ignore hype, it usually is just that, hype.

BTW, who do you consider "everyone else" to be. There isn't a GP consensus, so we can only be talking about the park, or coaster enthusiats.

I looked forward to, and spent hundreds of dollars and traveled 3,000 miles on a trip to, ride Goliath but it was closed.
When I was able to make it to SFMM earlier this season and not only was DV not even done being built but Psyclone was closed, Flashback was closed and Viper was closed.  I know a lot of people don't like Psyclone or Flashback, but I want to ride every ride to form my own opinion.  Also that RWB is closed every single time I go up to SFWoA.

Shocking, that is!
Anyway, I'll say Magnum. Worst coaster I rode @ CP. It was bumpy and nowhere near as good as "everyone" said it would be.
