X valleys!

It's possible my terminology is off, but I would consider it stacking when one of the trains is completely finished with unloading, even to the point of having the seats rotated back again, before the first train is rotated to leave the station. As is, the second train is just sitting there, waiting for something to do while they get the first train out. 9/10 times this seems to be the case, if there was a third train, it would spend plenty of time sitting outside the station, and I don't think capacity would go up *at all*.

So, like I said, my terminology would be off, but I believe it would have the same net effect.

Cedar Point is a great park, SFMM is a great park, we can all agree on that. But what also needs to be established is that there should be great parks everywhere. Thse two rivals both have the spirit that the entire industry should have, but there is no reason to fight against each other. We all must admit, there are a plethera of pros and cons at every park, but everyone needs to just focus on what impact all this can have on the amusement park industry. You see, if all this competetion continues, there will be no more. CP and SFMM will run out of room eventually, so we must broaden our horizens; lest to say one is to cast a burden, but merely expand. Recreate. Renew. This is America, and we are all one.
Thank you.
Could you explain, exactly, how two parks thousands of miles apart are rivals? Cedar Point and SFWoA, yes... Cedar Point and SFMM, No.

Is X up and running yet?

What does CP have to do with anything? Where in the world did that little diatribe come from?

When I went (see TR) the train would "stack" in unload about every 5 cycles. Every now and again there would be a delay in the load station (which was the normal bottleneck) but it was only a few seconds and only once every 10 or so cycles. I would imagine that a third train would only marginally improve capacity and if it ever had problems, would kill all advantage it was generating.

You must be this dumb to ride Viper. -SFGAdv.

I think the real key to the third train is being able to rotate trains.

I went to SFMM yesterday and surprisingly X is up and running after a week!!!!!

Just cut some slack to Arrow and SFMM. This is a new type of coaster and they probably haven't worked out all the problems yet. I know it has a lot of down time and all, but it is for the better of the solution. Just give them some time. Before you know it, 4-D coasters will be popping up around the world.

"A little off topic, but do the trims affect the ride at all?"

There are no trims on X. There are, however, two sets of brakes along the course, one at the bottom of the first drop and one right before the second Raven turn. Neither set is there to be used as trims. They are there to stop and hold a train if it vallies.

Moosh - just out of curiousity, how many rides have these kind of brakes. I know X does and I know the Deja Vu clones have them... but anyone know of any others?

I love reading this stuff since my first trip to SFMM will be in March. I've got my fingers crossed in hopes that it will be up and running on my big day.

BBSpeed26 - to be honest I'm not sure. Its not something I pay a great deal of attention to. I know I've seen some brakes place in some low spots on some B&M [Talon, Knight Flight] but I'm not sure if they're used for the same reason.
