I wouldn't like to be the one responsible for getting that train back into the station..

Each car weighs a couple of tons, right?

A couple? Try 20 tons each.

Each train weighs twenty tons. Not each car. If that was the case the track would more then likely collapse.

Yeah, your family car weighs about 3 tons, no way one car of a roller coaster train weighs 20. Even 20 for the whole train seems unlikely... but I suppose you might be right.

Ha! Look at that! They spent all that money installing two valley floors, and the train stalled in an area where they didn't even build one! (Of course, they don't need one in that place, but still)
The fits 2 pics look like they ere taken why the train was still moving back in forth, At least it happened during testing, whats the position of the seat rotation in that spot.

So you believe that you are studying us, then kindly explain why you are the ones trapped in your seats.

Actually, in an issue of the ace magazine, they said each car weighs 5 tons each, for a total 35 tons for the train. Does anyone have a guess at what would cause the valley?

Wasn't Six Flags Magic Mountain in the process of installing new trim brakes? I'm not quite sure when they were supposed to be added, so maybe modifications where finished and the trims were a little too strong?

This X thing just keeps getting worse and worse. First we have the late opening, then train modifications, slow load times, and now this. A valley can happen on any coaster, but it's not gonna look good for the 4th Dimension. I just hope everything get's worked out and these things start popping up around the world in the next 2 to 3 years.

Hey coasterkrazy just be patient soon B&M will design their own version of the 4 d It will open on time, work fine, and be alot more fun. Just like they've done with every other type of coaster out there that they have designed their own version of - flyer, hyper.standup, sit down looper

Did anyone ask about b&m? Please until you have something useful to contribute that's tasteful and ontopic don't post anything.

Big Deal!!

How many trips did this thing perform while it has valleyed just once? Everyone from the East coast who hasn't ridden X are just about the only people that complain (probably because there isn't one out there). We're having a blast on X out here even in the dead of winter so we can take a valleying during testing. It is the most incredible coaster I've ever been on and yes, I have ridden every coaster at Cedar Point and nothing there comes close to the Xtreme X experience. It's a phenomenal coaster....period.

No one said it wasn't mike. They're just reporting news that it valleyed and it has an ironic undertone because six flags had valley floors built for the ride in at least two places and it didn't valley in either of those spots. And don't bring up that cp vs. mm e-pollution or the people here will crucify you.

Mike,

I think all these people are stating this b/c they hear all the bad things that have happened with X. We haven't heard anything good about it in a while.

What, just like Air that spent it's first two months breaking down continuously? Air was absolutely terrible. It was still reasonably unreliable towards the end of the season too.

How long do you think it will be til its back up. I am hoping I will get to ride it when I go in April. Did the valley happen this morning. How early were they testing it?

It happened Sunday morning around 8:45 AM.

I'm not putting you down or anything, but I hope that B&M doesn't come out with their own 4th Dimension coaster ( or something similar to it. ) I think it would be nice if S&S Arrow could use this unique concept to get back on the coaster making map. B&M is a great company, and it's great that they've done so much with roller coaster technology, but I don't want them to be the only company out there. I'd hate to go to a park someday and have 10 B&M coasters with one or two others from dead companies. I need variety, and one firm wouldn't be able to provide that.
