Will CP go back to Beemers?

Hooper brought up a great point - What can top Dragster to draw people in next year. Thats the way we should look at it, as CP does.

In my mind we have great possibilities in Arrow, Intamin and B&M. The only problem is, once again thinking like CP, the Point probably doesn't want a ride which is still somewhat a prototype, or a ride which in other instillation has problems (Xcelerator, X). With all the headaches CP has had with Dragster I would think they would want something proven to work consistently.

Honestly, at this point, and thinking as Cedar Point might think, I would go with a B&M Flyer. It's proven and it works. Of course in CP fashion it would most likely be an enhanced version of the others.

Just my ideas - who knows yet :)
I am just glad Dragster is back up so I can ride again!

Magnum Force, dont forget the Hulk

The Hulk was build *before* Wildfire though. He said have any been built after WF...to which I counter, there were only two B&M sitdown coasters before the first floorless opened, and those were Dragon Khan and Kumba. Not indicative of anything, really.

I agree totally with the floorless thing. Floorless coasters are just sitdowns with a different train design. I don't think many parks will opt for the "regular" sitdown when you can do the same thing with floorless trains and get an instant marketing term to "sell" to the public. (mentioned this last week - 15th post, 8th paragraph :) )

There was the apt-rumored Boardwalk Project and the woodie twister going there, but no dice.

When chatting with Rob Decker not too long ago, he did confirm that there was talk of a beachfront woodie. Obviously, he did not share any future plans, nor did I try too hard to get them out of him. Talking to him, I did get some ideas of where CF might be with their plans for Cedar Point.

First, as much as we all would like a Giant Huss, I am not sure if we will be getting one this next year. At the time I spoke to him, he had not yet been on Delirium (sp?) I did let him know that a Giant Frisbee would be great. He did coment however on a new flat at Knott's this year, so I wouldn't be surprised if we got something like what Knott's got (though I am not sure what ride).

I also told Mr. Decker about my idea for a Vekoma (or other company if they make them) junior inverted. He actually seemed to like the idea. (So if Cedar Point gets one within the next few years, I can take credit).

Anyway, back on topic, a new B&M would be nice, but I think we should just wait and see. I bet Cedar Point has some good ideas up their sleeves, and those could or could not include a B&M.
