Who will go with me?

I'm on the left in my profile pic. I'd love to be in the band, but the drive from Baltimore to Seattle for rehearsals is a *****! ;)

Linda, our need for a classical guitarist expired some time ago... ;)

I have been arrested more than you.
Come on, I could bust out some mad Bach licks :)

Peabody - may I quote Tenacious D:

"That is Bach and it rocks, it's a rock block of Bach, that he learned in the school called the school of hard knocks."

Jeff, I was thinking you might be more of an Al Dimeola fan? :)

I have been arrested more than you. - look here for the skinny.
Show me any musical lick, and mad hard-rockin rhythm, and I'll show you where bach wrote it down 300 years prior! Seriously. Some of the greatest musicians, rock and otherwise know what a treasure some of that music of the old masters is!

Edit: Rob, yes some of my favorite music to listen to is Fusion, both old (Dimeola, McLaughlin) and new (Tribal Tech, Allan Holdsworth), and prog. rock, both old (Yes, Rush) and new (Dream Theater, Planet X)

I was, and still am, completely infatuated with prog-rock musicians. I guess I really shouldn't just classify it as rock, because I am a huge fan of any virtuoso musicians. Chops aren't everything, but they sure are something. ;)

Are you gonna bring your guitar, Jeff?

Yeah, bring your guitar, Jeff! We can have a sing-along at the camp ;-)

Can you imagine a very classical version of Kumbaya next to a fire/in the RV?;)

Rob - glad Moosh gets to inaugurate him on Zoombabwe

Hey, don't knock the classical guitar guy! I love classical guitar, which is why I purchased an acoustic for my son. Sadly, he still prefers his electric Les Paul http://www.webtechnik.com/ebony/Familypics/ianguitar.htm(although I still hear him picking out Classical Gas and the intro to Hotel California now and then, the requirements for me spending the money). Haven't heard him playing any classical jazz though. Too bad.

As for me, 8 years of classical piano lessons when I was a kid ruined me for jamming. But I play a mean Fur Elise and rock on sonatinas :)

Hey now... I love classical guitar! ... but Fur Elise? Ugh! Working in a piano store, guess what song I hear almost every day? That is akin to "Stairway to Heaven" in Guitar Center!!! ;)

Ya know Rob....you might not get arrested *as much* if you stopped setting fires in occupied dwellings...just a *fiendly tip*...;)

Oh, and Paula warns that Moosh MAY in fact be *contaminating* Zoombabwe....it's NOT drinking water...

Intentional misspelling there, Bill? ;) eh..... We'll see who's arrested after CCC and SRM.

Sadly, my main guitar (cost more the the first house my parents purchased!) will be satying home....I have a special travel one that dissasembles and plays through headphones.

It keeps the chops together! :)

Moosh, I don't know whether I'm excited, or worried! :)

Peabody, guess you're going to see Dream Theater & Queensryche? I've seen Q'ryche a couple times. And Rush a few (incl this summer).
Curious what your ultra expensive axe is?
I've got a red '67 Fender Mustang and a 2002 Epi Les Paul Custom Heritage Cherry Sunburst (both for sale), and a Taylor.

Moosh.... yes, I suppose so...;)

I have hung out with the QR guys. Nice fellows. My record is being mixed by a good pal of them as well, and we have been able to hang out with people as diverse as QR and members of Heart.

Yes Rob...the *misspelling* was in fact intentional...typos are one thing, but what you see in *ass-terisks*....that's the stuff that tickles MY ribs...:)

But if you want to get into who's been *arrested* longer....then I gotta go with me, my development was arrested (;)) probably even before yours...although I'm sure I've spent less time in custody...after all, I'm no Rock N Roll Star...

'Moosh, even before that joke dawn and I decided your accommodations for SRM would be *the doghouse* just for torturing us with your *waffling* in regards to SRM...c'mon, if there's ONE event to make...but we won't be feeding you pancakes....
