I work as a Media Producer for a corporation. Didn't plan on doing that. Thought I would be making movies or doing sound work out in Hollywood, but then reality set in! (And the fact that most of my classmates out in CA are unemployed!) I graduated with a Radio/TV/Film BS degree with an English minor. My wife graduated with a Nursing degree.
My hobbies include biking, music (Alt. rock, hard rock, classic rock, classical, and movie scores), and movies. Favorite band for the moment: Nickelback and Staind (but getting overplayed. They made it onto the Top 40 station in town. Yuck!) Favorite composer of movie scores: John Williams (Harry Potter, Star Wars, Indy Jones, etc.)
My passion is home theatre. You name it DVD, DBS, HDTV, AC-3, DD, DD EX, DTS, etc. I know the answer (most of the time!) The previous video formats used in my house are VHS, Super Beta, Super VHS, LaserDisc, and finally DVD. I am Pro-OAR (Original Aspect Ratio) and have an awesome home theatre. No Home Theatre in a Box here!
Oh yeah, I love Star Wars and Star Trek (original and Next Gen,) but have only been to one Trekkie conference. That was plenty! And finally, the screen name, of course, comes from my favorite ride at SFGAm and favorite woodie, Viper. But I wanted something slightly obscure and not just Viper.

btw - just updated my picture on here so the new pic should be up soon!
My favorite band of all time is Weezer (Although Jimmy Eat World, Ramones, and Green Day are pretty cool too) I play bass guitar and like to jam out on occassion with some people here at college. The Simpsons is pretty cool and I like Kevin Smith movies. I think that does it.

Anyway, I am a college student. I also coach P.E. at a middle school along with basketball after school. My other job is working for my local Parks & Recreation. I've done that since I was 16 and really enjoy coaching any sport and being around kids. Hell, I am just a big kid myself. In my leftover spare time, I enjoy music, movies, partying down with my friends, taking trips, sports, snowboarding, and oh yeah, I really like Girls!
I also am just starting to get into the guitar. My favorite band is definitely SUBLIME! I also like Pearl Jam, Green Day, 311, Deftones, Godsmack, Staind, Limp Bizkit, DMX, Bush, Jimi Hendrix, Incubus,U2, Papa Roach, Busta Ryhmes, Dave Matthews Band, Rage, Foo Fighters, No Doubt, Weezer, Slightly Stoopid, etc. Yeah, I'm really into music, and have a pretty wide range of mucical taste.
I hope to either move to California and finish my school, or finish school and move out to Cali. I absolutely love SoCal and have wanted to live there since I was a little kid. I spent my summer breaks out there with my cousins growing up and Disney and KBF is where I started to develop my passion for roller coasters. I later found out that SFMM is where it at though. Cedar Point, Busch Gardens, and IOA are pretty sweet parks too.
And that is all that I have to say about that........

Wow, another Madison resident! FYI, Garbage does much of their recording right here in Madison...their studio is right on E. Wash!
Anyway, here's my info:
My name is Nate, I'm 19, and am a college student in Madison, WI. Home is Amery, WI, which is just over the border from Minneapolis/St. Paul (about 1.5 hours from VF). I'm a huge X-Files fan but, other than that and the roller coaster interest, I'm just a regular college student (in the biggest party school in the country - I'm proud of that one!). I've been on 121 different coasters in I-don't-know-how-many parks. I visit SFGAm most often, but usually try to make a few trips to Big Chief and Valleyfair throughout the season (among others).

My name is Nick Nolte (no relation to the actor, so keep that wisecrack to a minimum :) I am 20 and live near Jackson, MI Originally from Atlantic, IA. I happen to be equidistant from Michigan's Adventure and Cedar Point so they are my co-home parks :) This Friday I will complete my Associate's Degree and be on my way to bigger and better things...yeah.
I work in the copy department of an Officemax store as the head supervisor, for how much longer is beyond me now that I have a degree of some kind. Embossed paper with your name on it it cool, eh?
A friend took me to CP in 2000 for the first time ever and I absolutely loved it that I went back this year eight times. Already have my season pass locked in for next year so you know that eight is going to be much more next season :) Can't wait. Oh yeah and the pass is good at MIA too, so that's even better!
I like digital photography, some programming, networking, general computer stuff, MMORPGs, and roller coasters of course!!!!!

Such as old bands like Boyz 2 men, Janet Jackson.. All my brothers and sisters left there cds here.. I have 1 brother and 2 sisters and I'm the youngest in the family...

Matthew, 36, Los Angeles, advertising, dating, other hobbies: music, movies, biking, camping, hiking
I graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a degree in theatre arts, so of course I work for an internet company. I have two main passions in my life, rollercoasters and the Boston Red Sox! Go Sox!
I spend most of my weekends between April and October travelling to ride, and I managed to get to at least one park a week this last coaster season. It wasn't always easy, but it was well worth it. The only problem I really had was finding someone to keep up with me.
One last thing, Tenacious D is the greatest band in the world.
-----------------
Do you hear the Rumble at the Lake?......BoulderDash!
I push paper for the State of Minnesota, which pays the bills for my house, cars and kids in the south 'burbs of Minneapolis. It also gives me plenty of time (4-day workweek) to goof off with CoastaBaby and Da 'Midget....a great deal of which is done @ the local CF park (VF)
I grew up in Detroit and still have folks in the far west 'burbs, which gets me an hour-and-a-half from CP and about 4 hours from MA, PKI, SFWOA or PCW. Of course, SFGAM's on the way to or from the folks. So I can work in a fair amount of coasting without ever taking a 'coaster trip' per se.
My whole life is far too interesting to contain in a single post...my childhood, when I was scared of CC:MR and the Bayern Kurve...the years I looked more like a member of ACE (All You Can Eat) than the much leaner guy I am now...the people in my childhood who forced me on coasters and the people who hated them...how a ripped dress got CBaby hooked on spin-and-spews and coasters...there's too many stories to tell. One day I'll get them nailed down on the ValleyFair TMI page. Real soon now.

PS - Possible near-misses with other posters:
- May have bumped into AirtimeSROS the day after a close friend's funeral (6/24)--went to CP to ease the pain
- May have bumped into CPLady at the Meijers on Orchard Lake Rd while loading up on Faygo...my folks happen to live in Canton
- Highly unlikely, but theoretically possible: SuperEllen if she was @ Lake Compounce 9/8 or Dorney 9/9.

Name's Nick, 21, student at UW-Madison majoring in zoology. I plan on designing the first "biocoaster." What that is, I do not know, but hey, it sounds cool, doesn't it? Oh, and if anyone ever sees Rob (ALF is COOL) at SFGAm, please to not hesitate to throw him in the water. ;-)

Ride the New England Bush!
I live in St. Louis, MO. I work as a Design Engineer at a small product developement company. I have a girlfriend, April, with two daughters, Elizabeth and Alexis. Let's see...fav coaster is Screamin' Eagle at SFStL, just cuz it was my first "big" coaster, and the one that made me such a fan. Also, I'm pretty sure I enjoy the offseason more than the other cuz I love to hear about the new rides and watch 'em grow. I rarely get to visit parks, so to all those that post pics, THANK YOU!! 8^).
