Which coaster lived up to its hype?

Just wonering?
Millennium Force, Incredible Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Alpengeist, and while not a coaster Vertigo.

"This time I think ... I think it's ... it's going to work!" - Dr.Bruce Banner
Thrill Shot, Deja Vu, Ghostrider
I had heard so much about Magnum and Millenium Force prior to riding them this summer.
And they were every bit as good as I imagined they would be.
Phantom's Revenge outdoes its hype, because it doesn't get tons of attention and is an excelllent ride.

Montezooma's Revenge Count: 34
Ghostrides: 22

Ghostrider, Raven, S:RoS, Hulk (at night, when fog and mist are full blast), Steel Phantom (RIP), Coney Island Cyclone, Alpie, Beast (no kidding, it WAS great!), Mean Streak (ditto!), Twister and Phoenix, Talon ...

Son of Drop Zone - PKI CoasterCamp I Champions!!!
If you mean pre-operational hype, I'd have to say Legend exceeded it.  SOB did it for me as well, although there was quite a delay there.

IMO I think S:UE/V2 lived up to it's hype. Although I haven't ridden it seems that most people like it. :)

We're not White, Black, Hispanic, or Asian. We're American!

To me, Hulk, Ghostrider, Phoenix, S:ROS at SFA and Nitro all lived up to their hype.  A few surprises for me this year were also Kraken, Wild One and V2.  It's been a great year for me in the coaster department, even though I haven't ridden that many compared to some people.  All of the coasters I've been on this year were amazing in their own ways, it's just that the ones listed above were the best of the bunch.  :)  Especially Hulk.  ;)

SD2000.   I had heard of it, but knew nothing of its record-breaking size and speed until I saw it and rode it.   I was blown away.

Then, months later I experienced my first CCI: Timber Terror.  I was again blown away.   All the hype had me thinking I would be disappointed.   I wasn't.....I can't wait to ride Ghostrider.

mmmmmmmmm.....coasters

I think Son of Beast, Beast, Magnum, and Phantom's Revenge all exceeded expectations.  But Millenium Force was a big disappointment for me because after the drop it was just a series of slow curves.  And the drop wasn't any different than a huge drop tower.
OMG GhostRider lives up to it's hype and further...
Batman: The Ride. The only ride I've been on that lived up to the hype. And if Superman: Krypton Coaster had any, I'm sure it would live up to it. It's the best...
Shivering Timbers definately lived up to the hype. =)
Slow curves? Actually they aren't..

Batman the Ride, Mr.Freeze(SFOT), and Titan.

Hypersonic XLC, Nitro both blew me away this year when I got to ride them.  Nitro is by far the best B&M hyper created so far.  Hypersonic is just amazin.  The launch, then the vertical incline and decline.
Phoenix,  Shivering Timbers, Legend, Cornball Express (what limited hype it got), Phantom's Revenge...
I think Millennium Force and Phantom's Revenge both lived up to their hype.
I think Talon did not. It kind of stunk.
