Whats wrong with TTD ?

Hey sorry if this is old news or isnt true , but today i checked out the status on the cedar point website and it said closed. Im planning a trip in October and im praying that TTD is running or will be running by then. Anyone that knows whats wrong or whats going on please tell. Once again im sorry for the inconvienece I havent checked on TTD or cedar point for that matter because I figured everything was good.

I heard it was closed for the remainder of the season.

Which would make it like any other season...no? :-)

I wouldn't count on it. But hey! At least Gemini will be running, which is a far better coaster than TTD any day :).

And dude, what's with the logic in your signature. Wicked Twister is different from other impulses but Kingda Krap is a copy of Dragster? How is that, exactly?

I always have to wonder what kind of answer people expect when they see a ride [like TTD or KK] down and ask whats wrong. If there was a BIG problem (ie Cable fray, engine blowing up, etc..) it would be on the news, or AT LEAST posted about around places like this, and the info would be easily accessible.

When there are extended periods of downtime, though, it's not like any of us really know. I understand the quest for info, but not a single one of us can just stroll into the engine room, look at the setup, judge whats wrong, and go ahead and analyze how long it'll take to fix.

Your guess is as good as any of ours.

Oh, sorry man wasnt sure if anyone knew. I jus was looking at posts on Pointbuzz and someone posted about a part coming, so im guessing some kind of long term downtime, who knows though.

I wasn't trying to rag on ya, I understand your frustration and inquery. Just a.. who knows kinda thing I guess. :)

I'm going for Halloweekends with my girlfriend sometime next month and really hope it's running by then, too!

I lust Dragster as much as the next girl, but there is really no used to worry about it...if it's down it's down.

There ARE other coasters at CP you know....Raptor, MForce,Magnum, Blue Streak, etc. :-P

That would keep me busy all day. :-)

Now I just realized my Dragster exit passes are going to be useless. ;-) Oh wait, they are good for most of the other coasters. Sweet.

Millennium Force is the best coaster on the planet! If that's running, do you need anything else? Dragster (haven't ridden it, but have ridden KK. same thing, right?) is a good ride, but unless you want to waste your day waiting in line, ride other things. Hey, it being closed could work in your favor...

TTD closed- People who were going to ride it=Shorter lines=More rides to ride!

^ um... wouldn't it mean longer lines for everything else :). (or are you talking about locals who wouldn't go to the park)

And another thing. TTD Lines only got insanely long the first year it opened. It rarely gets over 45 minutes now.

Yeah I understand that there are other great coasters there, but my favorites are only MF and TTD. Hopefully its running cuz to me thats one heck of a ride. What all do you guys think of the chances it being open Oct 8 or 9th or the week afer. Im crossing my fingers.
