What's the next project you think C.P. should crea

Cedar Point does love to break records and they have broken just about every one you can think of except for this one; THE LONGEST!!

This record has stood for a while (steel & wood) and it's time to be shattered. The undisputed king of coaster building, CP, can just keep marching down the road to the amusement park hall of fame and give us something in the 8000ft. range. At least. Wooden or steel, it doesn't matter.

How about that, PUDDIN' PIES?
I think an Arrow 4D tallest fastest longest should be next

It's all about the X Baby:]
All they need to do is tear down Gemini and get a real wooden coaster in there. Gemini is so weak it's not even funny.
I think they need a good woodie. it needs to go 55 mph. It needs 7 hills, 3 breaking 200 feet and the other 4, 100 feet hills. It also needs 2 loops and has to be longer than the beast
How about this A DUELING-RACING HYPER!

"CP already has two woodies, mine train, and Gemini, why would they want a woodie. What they really need is some non-B&M (don't get me wrong I love B&M) loopers. "

Um, Corkscrew? (Arrow loop 'n screw)

This sorta ties in with the thread about whether or not we really need inversions, and I *know* I've had this argument before at Guide to the Point. And you're ASKING for a Premier Rides looper? Okay, why don't you just ask for a TOGO while you're at it? Replace Mantis with a TOGO, yeah. And let's rip down MF and put in a 310 foot tall Vekoma Boomerang. YEAH!

I'm sorry but IMO B&M really leads the pack in building coasters that go upside down, and if any park is going to build a coaster with inversions they'd be wise to go to Walter & Claude.

But also IMO that isn't what Cedar Point needs. Gemini and Mine Ride are not wooden coasters, I don't care what the GP thinks, and all of the GP notice that those two rides don't RUN like wooden coasters, and quite a few tend to ask the ride operators why. Blue Streak is a fun woodie, but it's just not the sort of timeless classic that MAKES a park's wood reputation. And Mean Streak, well we've heard enough on that subject! I've said this a million times and I will say it again. A coaster like Ghostrider may be just what Cedar Point needs. Out-and-back!!!! A nice twister, even a dueling twister, would be a good investment too, but a better out-and-back than Blue Streak may revitalize some enthusiasts' interest in Cedar Point, since a lot of them don't care much for it. And I think CP *needs* the enthusiast crowd more than they think they do.

This is all just my opinion though.

Natalie,

While I agree with most of your post, I have to point out something You said that you don't care what the GP thinks, but any exec. with half a brain focuses on what the GP thinks.

I don't see Cedar Point get a woodie anytime soon (I could be wrong) as I think they were turned off on wooden coasters after all the maintainence they've had to go through with Mean Streak.

You build it, I'll ride it...eventually
CP needs a Floorless (this coaster will be built for 2001) and a Gaint Vekoma Sit Down LSM Looper (2002) and a Vekoma Gaint Woodie (2002)
I think CP needs another good woodie. It doesnt have to be 160 feet or break records but just a nice, exciting woodie that families can enjoy.
Funny no one guessed an Impulse
