"CP already has two woodies, mine train, and Gemini, why would they want a woodie. What they really need is some non-B&M (don't get me wrong I love B&M) loopers. "
Um, Corkscrew? (Arrow loop 'n screw)
This sorta ties in with the thread about whether or not we really need inversions, and I *know* I've had this argument before at Guide to the Point. And you're ASKING for a Premier Rides looper? Okay, why don't you just ask for a TOGO while you're at it? Replace Mantis with a TOGO, yeah. And let's rip down MF and put in a 310 foot tall Vekoma Boomerang. YEAH!
I'm sorry but IMO B&M really leads the pack in building coasters that go upside down, and if any park is going to build a coaster with inversions they'd be wise to go to Walter & Claude.
But also IMO that isn't what Cedar Point needs. Gemini and Mine Ride are not wooden coasters, I don't care what the GP thinks, and all of the GP notice that those two rides don't RUN like wooden coasters, and quite a few tend to ask the ride operators why. Blue Streak is a fun woodie, but it's just not the sort of timeless classic that MAKES a park's wood reputation. And Mean Streak, well we've heard enough on that subject! I've said this a million times and I will say it again. A coaster like Ghostrider may be just what Cedar Point needs. Out-and-back!!!! A nice twister, even a dueling twister, would be a good investment too, but a better out-and-back than Blue Streak may revitalize some enthusiasts' interest in Cedar Point, since a lot of them don't care much for it. And I think CP *needs* the enthusiast crowd more than they think they do.
This is all just my opinion though.
