what was your first coaster ever??

I was introduced to coasters back in 1989. It was the boomerang at Knotts Berry Farm. My first coaster at six flags great america was the demon. I still remember when the demon scared me lol. But then again I was only 11. Although it didnt get me hooked on coasters, till I finally rode shockwave. After that I was hooked. The sad thing is, after shockwave being the coaster that got me hooked on coasters, I dont miss not riding it. I'm actaully glad it's gone.
Wacky Worm at Lake Winnie. Butnow they've actually added trims on the only drop. Its no fun anymore.

This place would be a nightmare for midgets.

Serpant at Lesourdsville lake back in 88 I believe was my 1st coaster. First looping coaster was Outer limits flight of fear (simply today known as Flight of fear) at PKI.

The Jet Flyer at Gooding's zoo park, now Wyandott Lake and the coaster is now known as Sea Dragon. I thought it was one heck of a ride when I was 10

Just last May, I finally overcame years and years of coaster terror and rode my first: The Aerosmith Rock N Roller Coaster at Disney/MGM. Since then, I haven't looked back. If anybody out there is scared of coasters, JUST DO IT! You'll be glad you did.

G's! They're what's for dinner!

My first was Big Thunder Mountain at Disney World. My first decent-sized one was Wolverine Wildcat at Michigan's Adventure back in 1994. Maybe it's just sentiment, but I still think they are both fun rides.
Mine was the Magnum, back when it was still the world's tallest coaster.
The Jackrabbit at Idora Park in Youngstown, OH. I was too scared to go on the Wildcat. I kick myself for not going on the Wildcat to this day. Both are gone now, but I have faith that someday they will make a return.
On my senior trip a little opver 3 years ago I overcame my fear on The Hulk at Universal Studios: Islands of Adventure.

And now I just ponder how much more enjoyable my early youth would have been had I not feared coasters...

Like alot of other people Shockwave got me hooked on coasters.

The first time I rode a coaster was when I was 6 years old, on the Jackrabbit at Kennywood. I rode it 6 times that day, and I've loved coasters ever since.

------------------
1. Top Thrill Dragster
2. Raptor (without trims)
3. Millenium Force
4. Incredible Hulk
5. Kumba

My first coaster was Scooby's Gasping Ghoster Coaster back in the mid eighties - it's located at Paramounts Canada's Wonderland in Suburban Toronto, Ontario. I can barely remember it, but I do recall running back into the que several times to ride it over and over. Boy what an unusual memory to have stuck with me all these years.....

Jr. Gemini at CP in 1978 or 1979. I was 5 or 6 and I was terrified.

It makes me laugh when I think of how scared that coaster made me then hop on a big 200 footer or multilooper with my 5 year old daughter and she's not afraid at all. She's got the balls I didn't at that age.

She's just passed 70 coasters last week :)

The Flying Dragon at Walled Lake Amusement Park in Michigan. 1962. It scared me to death. First one I enjoyed was Cedar Creek Mine Ride at Cedar Point.

The first coaster of any size I rode I believe was the Mine Train at SFoG. The first wooden coaster I rode was the Great America Scream Machine backwards at SFoG. The first coaster that I actually started counting and got me hooked on them was the Mindbender at SFoG in Sept. 1999 and I haven't looked back since then. (Except on coasters that require it.)
