What is the one coaster you will always remember??

I'll never forget the go-gator ride at the Ionia Free Fair. I was like 4 years old and it terrified me so musch the operator had to stop the ride to let me off. However, ate the age of 8 I screwed up enough courage to ride the CCMR at CP and have loved coasters ever since.

Every first ride on an anticipated coaster is memorable, but The Force was special for me as well.

Simply put, I grew up with that coaster. I was never away from it for more than a month at a time during its construction. I was there for footers, the construction of the transfer table, track hanging, the pull through... really everything other than the first run.

So when Longaberger had their buy-out day, and I was in, I was ready. It was hot, and because of that pesky anti-rollback problem, they could only run one train (that and they had only been certified to run two as the blocking still wasn't worked out). We ended up in the second car, which worked out just fine.

By that time, I knew every inch of track, and knew that I was in for about a minute of pure speed. Man did it deliver.

That drop was the stuff of the gods. By the time we hit the high speed turn toward the first tunnel, I was light headed from screaming and the G's that pulled my legs to the floor. Third hill... floater airtime all the way through. Oh yes... this was a ride I could get used to.

Before I knew it, the ride was over and we slid into the magnetic brakes. Despite the heat, the huge crowd was all about that ride, and every train came back loud and excited. That trend lasted right through closing day.

The Crystal Beach Comet.. Espeically riding backwards...

*sigh* The memories..
ALPENGEIST----I will never forget the terror of going up that 195ft lift hill!
I know I already posted saying Steel Phantom was the coaster I will always remember, but another one that I will remember just as much is Magnum. I wasn't a coaster enthusiast at that time and despite being at CP the year after it opened, I didn't ride it until a few years after. I remember climing the lift with my eyes closed because I was afraid of heights. From the start of the first drop to the end of the ride, I laughed uncontrollably from the airtime. I was still laughing while we were on the brakes waiting to enter that station. Magnum was my first hyper and although I like MF and AC better, I will never forget it.

Phantom's Revenge in 2001!
I will always remember my first ride on the Raging Bull this past summer. It was my first ride on a big coaster and I was scared to death to get on, but it was cool and it got me addicted to coaster riding.

I'll also always remember my first ride on SFGAm's Shockwave because it was raining at the time and they stopped the coaster at the mid-course brake stretch for about 20 minutes. I still don't know why they did it. One of the higher-ups said there was a heavy gust of wind in the ride area, but I don't buy that because I didn't feel any wind at all while getting soaked out on the track.
mibe is Rolling Thunder at Six Flagsd Great Adventure because it is my first roller coaster

I'll never forget me first coaster ride on the Blue Steak at Conneaut Lake. I was 6, and I had always loved amusement parks but was too scared to ride most coasters. I finally decided to ride one. I wasn't very big so I had to sit up to reach the bar and I don't remember there being any seat belts either, so I was slideing left to right and a few times I remember almost coming out of the car. After that, I was probably 10 times more afraid of coasters. And, being pretty angry at my mom for talking me into riding it, I said I would never ride another roller coaster as long as I live.
The first ever ride on MF. It was May 25, 2000. As we crossed the causeway my jaw dropped as this blue hill appeared from behind the trees. I noticed the long slender red streak flying through the first turn. The first words I said was "No way am I getting on that thing." (Up till then the biggest coaster I had rode was American Eagle)

We stayed towards the front of the park in the morning. As we waited in line for Raptor, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the top of the first hill over the fence. I thought to myself, that ride is too big.

Finally we made it to MF. I was surprised as the yellow train came barreling towards us and into the final turn. My two friends and I had worried and excited looks on our faces. My mom, well she was in heaven.

My mom finally talked us all onto it (sad, uh). As we stood in line I got more more excited. Then I saw that little hole in the building standing before us, and that is when I got worried.

I finally had made it into the seat, we pulled out of the station and flew up the hill. I threw my hands up at the top and screamed into the first turn. Needless to say I was gasping for air by the first turn on the island. Before I knew I was waving to the queue line and barely standing on the unload platform.

I ran and got my picture, on the coaster that sent me through more emotions in one day than I have ever had. *** This post was edited by Feel_The_Force on 2/16/2001. ***
I'll never forget my first ride on a roller coaster ever (even wooden ones). my brother picked me up and carried me onto the SDL at hershey and forced me onto the ride. I'll never thank him enough for helping me get my fears out.
I'll never forget my first Coaster ride in the U.S. , Thunder Mountain Railroad at DL. Rode it 8 times in the dark mid-week. Great Buzz!
My first Looping Coaster, Montezoomas Revenge at KBF! What a ride!
Those two totally changed my perspective on Rollercoasters and Ive been riding ever since!
My first looping coaster. The Steel Phantom. I sat in the back seat on m first ride. Obviosly there was a lot of headbanging, but I still liked it.
I am going to have to say my most memorable roller coaster ride is when i went on the Magnum XL 200 at the age of 6. I was so scared in line and going up the first hill. All of my bigger brothers friends were telling me about the Magnum (at the time i had never heard of it)and how it is the best ride in the world. I sat right next to my dad and he tells me all of the time about the look on my face going up the first hill.

My second most memorable moment would have to be the one and only time i rode Millennium Force. It was so awesome. This was not the same day i rode the Magnum. Wow this ride rules!

I will never forget whirlwind at knoebels cuz it was the first upsidedown coaster I was ever on.

Best Coaster: Millennium Force
Worst Coaster: Project Stealth
My very first ride on The Beast. I was 6. My dad and I waited for 2.5 hours. By the time we rode it the park was closing. Pitch dark. Another thing that made it so amazing was they have the fireworks going off back somewhere in the woods at the time. On that ride I decided that I want to become a coaster designer for my career. Now that I'm 13 I want to be one more than ever. Now that I look back on what happened with the fireworks I can't help but to believe that in a way it was a tribute to the best rollercoaster there will ever be.
