Raptor. I waited 5 years to finally ride it, and I pretty jizzed my pants going through the first loop, and into the zero_G roll... A memory I,ll never forget...
Is it true Runaway Reptar is gonna have a loop? I've heard a lot of rumors about this and i just don't know? Thanx!

Ok, here's my piece of cheese. Mine is the very first one I went on when I was about 4-5 years old. It was a tiny junior coaster that travelled in a jungle with multi-coloured lights shining up on the trees, kinda like being in the jungle of the Jurassic Park Island in IOA.

IMHO, multi-coloured lights shining up on palm & jungle trees at night is the best theming for any coaster!

I forgot the name & the name of the park. It used to be in the Beachside Amusement Park on the Beach Promenade of Durban (city), South Africa.

That's right, I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. Are any of you from S.A? I believe there's a town in your country also called Johannesburg. Are any of you from there or know anyone there?

I have too many to mention, but here's the top 5:

5) The look on CMidget's 3 year-old face on PKI's Beastie
4)The same look on CBaby's face on her first hyper ride(age 5)
3)CBaby again, URC II, Beast ERT (June 2000). With most of the brakes off, it smacked her around like a rag doll. First she was holding her arm, then her head, then wondering if she should see a doctor.....but absolutely REFUSING TO GET OFF, even when asked nicely.
2) My first Raptor ride through the cobra roll. What the hey???
1) Negotiating my way into Car 1, Row 1, Right seat during CoasterMania ERT.....and leaning over HARD on the overbanked curves. The top of curve #1 gave me my first -- and only -- near-blackout.

There are too many to list. Montezooma's revenge was my second looping, while boomerang was my first. I will remember monte forever, though :) I don't remember much about mindbender in wem, because I only went twice about 3 years ago, but I will never forget a) the bending lift b) the stinking STEEP drops c) blacking out for about 5 seconds after the extremely tight 3rd loop and d) going through the helix so close to the cement, and thinking, this is the most intense ride ever created!
Ghostrider will always have a special place in my heart, but I go on it so often, so I obviously won't forget it. I think I will NEVER forget the Texas Giant, my what a great ride that was! *** This post was edited by saviourmachine on 3/7/2001. ***
Catherine - I was so scared of the Gemini (the first real coaster I rode) I was crying on the lift hill! How embarrassing...

I will never forget any of the coasters I have ridden, because I see each one as a unique experience, wrapped in atmosphere and excitement of the park. But the one coaster that will always be the most special to me is Disaster Transport. I'll never forget standing in the trough for the first time after the ride was closed, looking out over the satellite and just the feeling of being a part of the ride itself. I used to go behind the building on my breaks and put my hand on the trough and you can feel the coaster rumbling by. It might not be spectacular or fast or high or anything, and it might be on its way out (someday), but it will always be my baby.

I remember the MOUNTAIN EXPRESS at Magic Mountain terrified me as kid when I first rode it. It was my first major coaster outside of the tiny kiddie coasters that I rode at the fair, and the concept of what a mad mouse is supposed to do was not explained to me before boarding!!!
The first curve that the car appeared to miss, at the coaster's top, was so unnerving (as well as ALL the
other curves), that I skipped out on The Revolution and the Colossus ( if it ran), the latter being the reason for the family trip from Bend OR, in a van, with my three siblings; it ended up not opening the entire day after all the signs said it would open late.
Still scarred from MX, my older brother kept assuring me that the GOLD RUSHER was not scary that I finally gave it try.
Talk about opposite reactions.
The Gold Rusher was sooooo much fun! I rode it again and again that day, and have been hooked on rollercoasters since.
Quite a day................................
