Speaking of parks and pizzas, man, next to BGT there's a place that serves a white pie that is absolutely *over the top*....Jill and I split one when spending the night down there about two years ago, and I am HOOKED.....garlicky as all get-out, and four cheeses....incl. ricotta. Best pie available ANYWHERE in FL, very reminiscent of the NY-style pizza I ate as a kid....
BRUNO'S white pie....mmmmm, delicioso!
Bob, there is NO German food available in FL, *maybe* Epcot but I even doubt that....
We have a huge share of great German food here in NW Ohio. The german American Festival is always very fun in Toledo as well as Shootzenfests in all the small outlying Villages.
Whats a Sootzenfest you ask? Well we all get snuckered up, polka, and then go shoot at targets to crown the King of the Shootzenfest. Only Germans would mix beer and marksmanship.
Its odd, in NW Ohio we have 2 distinct groups of Germans, Mennonites with names like Nofzinger and Leichty and Lutherans with names like Blankenbuehler and Vetersted.

Speaking of Pizza the Best in Indy used to be Chicago Take and Bake, we got them at work all the time the year I moved down here, yum. Now its a Tobaco store, drat.
In fact I was leaving there one day, and watched a Tornado, pass thru the Meijer parking lot across the street and take the roof of the Pizza Hut, and knock down the just emptied day care next door.

Tomacco *was* great stuff...I just couldn't stop eating (or smoking) it....but I *did* get my daily serving of vegetables....AND some extra chest X-rays...;). A glowing green field with some nice Plutonium fertilizer....and they say this newfangled genetically-modified food isn't good for ya...;)
"Ew, this tastes like Grandma."
Hope I quoted that right...

"Beereal", huh? Now that may not be the "Breakfast of Champions" per se, but I'd be willing to bet that Hunter S. Thompson recommends it even more than Vonnegut *ever* could....;)
edit: Den, I had some good comedy in those too....:(

Donatos is sorta halfway between local and franchise pizza.
Here's a little tidbit - Donato's is now owned by *gasp* McDonald's (so is Chipotle). So far the arches haven't ruined the pizza yet :)
I'd rank Donatos as my favorite when I can't get to BG (Myle's Pizza) or Chicago (Home Run Inn).
