What has happened to Coasterbuzz?

obviously, hence the :)

Matt,

No worries. I've been the 1,000,000th person to so many websites! ;) (Stupid advertising) Now only if my 2.4, 200GB, DVD RW, CDRW, 2GB RAM computer could only match the "average" computer performance, I'd be set!

/End of ranting from my failure to give in to pay only $.05 a day for ad-free CB. And my failure to buy a computer fast enough to what I just said. I'll just stick with my 1.8 thank you.

I haven't been to a Ducks game in about as long. It was prettyfun, but its not something I can really get into on a regular basis. Southern Californians (myself included) just don't seem to be too interested in hockey.

((sound of sarcasm detector going off)) ;)

"Let's do the time warp again..."

Sorry, had to say it. I haven't seen Rocky Horror in YEARS. When I was an undergrad at CMU we'd go see it at the King's Court theater, which was smack-dab in the middle of the Pitt campus. That has since become the Beehive, then closed down, and is now god-knows-what.

I really don't remember much of the audience interaction anymore, other than throwing toast. And maybe hot dogs?

The Chicago Wolves are in the same league as Cleveland's hockey team. I believe it is the "AHL".

The Wolves have a very good following here in the windy city. I see the Allstate Arena packing them in for a game. Makes sense because its convenient to get to, the Wolves have won numerous titles in that league, and its cheaper than going to a Blackhawks game.

2 superheroes in Gurnee next season? Oh the humanity.

The Toledo Sprts Arena is always packed for Storm games. Very big following there but Toledoan's love their Mudhens and they love their Storm.

Richard: Yeah, they're called doctors.

I'm looking forward to catching a UAH hockey game this weekend. Hopefully with a few more wins they can break into the top 15.

I wonder how many people know that Alabama has a college hockey team with two Div. II national championships.

I-280 is undergoing a major rebuild including getting rid of the drawbridge which will ease a huge bottleneck. The roads are slowly getting back to normal. Everythign is done now except for 280. Airport Highway was the big mess this year.

No, the quote from the previous page is NOT from The Rock. That would be an over-ambitious, over-produced (but fun!) piece of hollywood that I run screaming from (but fun!!). No, the quote was from a VERY low budget indie film made in '93 starring Peter Greene (who was high as hell on heroin when he made it-which proves he is a gifted actor). Is that enough of a hint? C'mon Danny!!! You let them sit long enough. ;)

Isn't that the truth - during my four years at MCO, I spent a grand total of $650.00 on movie tickets at Showcase Cinemas Maumee.

Congrats nasai on officially making this thread longer than the DDR thread. You win the big prize!

A free one year pass for the "_:TR" of your choice!

.

It's very late, isn't it...

[Edit: 4 years, opthodoc? You have my pity - I only had 2.5 years there (unless you count the 4 years at Bowling Green down the road. But, we didn't have the Maumee Showcase Cinemas back then.]

LOL if you guys think teher is nothing to do try living out in the Boonies west of town. I bide my time between Adrian and Defiance as my "big" cities. I live in the middle of a cornfield no matter wheer I am at the time. For a country boy like me Toledo has a lot to do.

We do have an amazing art museum, one of the top Zoo's in the country, the lake, the Maumee River, all kinds of events at the Rec center, all kind of stuff at UT and Masonic Hall, Cosi, the Storm, the Mudhens at a beutiful new downtown stadium, Toledo Speedway, Michigan International Speedway, Great railfanning, beautiful metro parks and state parks, Jamie Farr Golf Tournament, Seniors Golf Tournament, Tony Packos, the Willis B. Boyer, I coudl go on and on and on.

It does well for me.

MagnumForce, don't forget all the mayflies that hit in early summer. Gotta love the nice rice krispies sound they make as you drive over a swarm. I'll take the muffleheads any day over those damn things.

You think CP has bug problems...the last year I was in Toledo, those mayflies (bigger than the muffleheads) were swarming so bad around the electric substations that they almost took out all of northwest Ohio. Electricity actually arc-ed through the swarms!

Mmmm....fried mayflies....

Yeah, thanks. The humour sure runs thin around here some days.

I did go with a couple of Canadians though, and they knew everything aboot the game.

Jeff, we know you knew what he didn't know you knew....ya know...;). For the most part, the humor's been pretty "thick"...enough to ice-skate on...;)

Aboot, huh? They must have been REAL "Canuckers", did they have flip-top heads like Ike Brovlovski and Celine Dion...
