What happened to Turbulence?

I heard from an employee at the Decades Restaurant, near Tidal Force, that Six Flags bought the ride and has purchased four more to silence the complaints from people living near smaller SF parks that they don't get anything new. I also heard that SF is considering going with 2-car operation to "decrease maintenance costs." The restaurant employee continued, saying that the money was going into transforming the factory tour into Chocolate World Stunt Track, where guests get soaked by chocolate geysers and race through the factory dodging various simulated mishaps.

And Turbulence plus the other four are going to:

SFAW
SFA
SFEG
Wyandott
Frontier City

Sorry SFDL...screwed again ;)

In fact we were saying just the opposite.

Actually, by your logic...What Screamscape posted as their conversation with Interactive and what BigJim posted as his conversation with some peon at the park are quotes from the "parties involved".

No further explanation needed. I'm hopelessly lost.
I'd say it is more likely they would throw one in SFMM (run it only during march), and lets take away the one from SFA so that one guy would throw a fit. Only in a perfect world.

As long as the guy in the restaraunt says so. . .

Down is the new up.

But you skipped the closer of the post:

"Just wondering why at this point (not to say there isn't something up) everyone chooses the cling to one anonymous source over people who have talked to the parties in question?"

As I've stated already, I don't know anything and barely care. I find the reaction interesting.

Why believe a totally anonymous source, but totally ignore equally reliable (meaning "not at all") source?

I'm not choosing a side or calling one source 'better'. I'm questioning the reaction.

Following me now?

... I know that if I was trying to get people to buy season passes as Christmas presents, I'd want our new 2005 attraction to be front and center. That certainly doesn't seem to be the case here.

If it is a problem with their website, common sense would dictate that they would fix it fairly quick to keep season pass sales coming in.

NO! They are selling it to six flags. The guy in the restaraunt said so. . .

Also, the president of Hershey lost Storm Runner to Ron Artest in a heated game of Texas Hold' Em. Artest plans to set up a small park in northern Indianapols centered around Storm Runner in order to promote his new album.

This THREAD is more Turbulent than the ride itself will turn out to be....:)

Unless it ends up being a Screamin Squirrel in the end, LOL...;)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

I know its mean to pick on SFDL and those who must call it their homepark but sometimes its just too hard to resist ;)
There will be a Turbulence, settle down children.

A little mishap, should be fixed in no time.

Just be patient. *** Edited 12/8/2004 11:52:23 PM UTC by makel***

SFDL is my home park as well. Go right ahead and pick on it. I already know the park doesn't have much to offer aside from Superman.

Schwarzkopf shuttle loops...The most possible fun in 36 seconds.

In similar news, I just checked to see if the following parks had these rides listed on their website:

SFMM - Psyclone
PGA - Grizzly
SFDL - Predator
SFGAdv - Viper
NYNY Casino - Manhattan Express

Try to find Deja Vu on the official SFOG site though ;)

Perhaps you were joking or just misled? ;)

I've often wondered from time to time, how to write good poetry- and make it all... Work.

I read about an hour ago that when Ron Artest opens up his new park, he's going to hire the Indiana Pacers to serve as security. I won't be line jumping in that park.

SO????????????????????????

Has WHP covered the story about Hershey in the evening news? Does anyone know? It should be about 9:30PM now in PA.

I read that local news stations had reported that the ride was no more. This time I'm not joking. I genuinely read that at Roller Coaster Pro.

I searched through all three (ABC, NBC, CBS) online websites, the pages of the local Harrisburg affiliates...nothing on there mentions anything about a Hersheypark/Turbulence story...take that for what it's worth...

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

You have to really go digging

Really? 'Cause when I go to that page and click on "Thrills" it's right in my face. I don't know how anyone could miss it.

Its not on the rides page accessible on the home page. No matter what, the fact that its not on all of the menus is kinda odd
