So what if I want to count each different time on every log flume and dark ride as credits (which brings me up to, like 9,107)? *** Edited 7/5/2006 10:41:09 PM UTC by ApolloAndy***

Power is applied to the cars EXTERNALLY, not by any mechanism within the cars.
Power is applied only during a relatively short part of the track. Gravity is involved along most of the track.
The cars are wheeled and travel along some kind of track although not necessarily upon rails.
The cars are not steerable.
The main parts of the track are dry (although a splashdown or brief water stretches are permitted). *** Edited 7/6/2006 1:14:18 AM UTC by Arthur Bahl***

Have you ridden Timber Mountain Log Ride or Kersplash? Just curious...

DD as the name implies, are TWO seperate Dragons, each competeting with each other. Add in the unique computer control system, and each coaster, has a unique "experience" in the same seat, on each coaster for each trip up the lift hill. That's how you see it and I have no problem with it. Do YOU have a problem with me counting the attraction as one credit?
It is obvious that coaster riders like to get some idea how their own experiences compare with others. I don't think the majority of CBuzzers find their riding "coaster count" a "contest".
I personaly find a "coaster count" of someone else as a "measure" to compare with.
THUS, as a "yard-stick" I want to know if the "yard stick" is really a 'YARD' stick, or a 'METER' stick.
Both are CLOSE, but do not accurately reflect each other.
So, "NO!", since this is an opion based discussion, I don't have any problem with you counting the attraction as one credit.
HOWEVER! Your coaster reputation, presence, and opinion, does have a reflection upon the whole industry.
My opinions, and many others on CBuzz, don't "count".
So, in YOUR opinion, does ONE ride on Fire, or Ice, count as a FULL ONE credit, or half a credit?
Why or why NOT, for this UNIQUE ride?
Why or Why NOT, should I not include both as a "water ride" after the announcement over the speaker!?
Maybe I "deserve" 2 extra credits because of at least one lap on each coaster after the announcement was made, before the rain even slowed less then most people take a normal shower?
People want to compare experiences. This isn't a big puzzle. The credit count issue will remain till everyone agrees on a standard that seems to mostly make sense.
Right now, there is no standard, and personal opinion gets a tad bit into the way.
Good luck!

^ There will NEVER be a standard....unless and until you all decide to submit to my will en masse. ROFL! :)
HAH! I never DISSAGGREEDED with YOU either. I think you are right, everyone dissagrees; and there will continue to NOT be any standard of comparison.
And, as such, there will be another 350+ new threads in '07 on the issue.
Thanks,!
When the occasion arises that I happen to ask someone what their coaster count is and I hear their answer I never follow up with questions such as, "So...did you arrive at that total by counting Dueling Dragons as two?" or "Does that total include relocated coasters counted in each location?". Why? Because it is none of my business what their method is.
The "credit count issue" will never go away because it will be impossible for everyone to agree on an excepted method. This thread is proof of that. In fact I don't think there needs to be one method. As I've said repeatedly: everyone should be free to develope their own set of guidelines and not have to defend them.

My opinion on this subject is no more valuable than anyone else's opinion.
Your opinion is in FACT read, and debated more then many other CBuzz Warriors due to your own actions that create a "presence" here.

You have no idea the sheer number of people with simimlar interests that also READ you comments? It isn't any of YOUR business how OTHERS count their credits.
However, if YOU are going to publicly state your coaster count, why not also show YOUR OWN method for counting. What are YOU hiding from?
That work? :)
Uh oh!
