Celebrities get away with unnecessary sunglasses usage all the time. Sometimes it makes me giggle to myself, until I realize that I am guilty of that too (rarely).

Edit: I only ride Voyage at night, as well as I only ride voyage at night wearing sunglasses. It makes the spaghetti bowl pitch black.
I tried to trick myself into getting a 7:45 dark ride on the beast using sunglasses but sadly it didn`t work... neither did the beast.
I was getting a hard time at Ocboulderfest wearing glasses at night. Once you get on to glasses you won`t go back.
I remember an event at Holiday World where a bunch of us wore our sunglasses for night time ERT on Raven. It was years ago, and I think it might have even been before Legend was built. It was scary fun. I've never tried it on Voyage. That would be just scary!
Thanks Dan for joining and thanks for the refurb. I certainly hope the Timberliners will be on Voyage soon. The PTCs do their job and when the coasters smooth, so is the ride somewhat, But this luxurious comfort won't be realized until you get the *TWO BIG GUYS sitting next to each other and not even touching shoulders* Timberliners on it :)
I thought MF trains were supposedly *Luxurious Comfort* till I sat in a Timberliner!
Again, Thanks!
Chuck
Am I too late to the conversation to add that the future at Holiday World is so bright, I gotta wear shades?

Does he know that? :)
Hello everyone. I've been following this site for a while, but this is my first post. I just wanted to comment on the "bump" before the first 90 degree turn in the spaghetti bowl. I'm friends with a couple of their maintenance guys on Facebook and one of them posted a picture (I'm not going to post the picture here; he's in it and I don't know if he could get in trouble for it or not. I don't think it's a huge secret, but still.).
The picture shows the steel up and the ledgers (and ledgers only) attached to the steel. From what the picture shows, it appears that after the initial banked turn where it turns all the way around, the track straightens back out (ie: no banking) before hitting that small hill. The bump also looks much more pronounced than it was and looks like it could give some nice air (sounds like the solution to where the additional -0.1 G came from).
Anyway, I saw that a couple of you were wondering if the reprofiling was going to remove that bump. I unexpectedly came across the probable answer and just wanted to share. :)
This is a little off topic, but Bing.com has an updated, very clear aerial view of Holiday World. I think it was taken last September because of the tree colors and the site clearing for Mammoth.
You can get a nice view of Voyage's "spaghetti bowl" and of Voyage's huge footprint.
If you know where to look, check out the recently restored Santa statue (it's shadow, anyhow).

That makes me feel uncomfortable.
Thanks for the link, Jeff. I was rolling my eyes at the thought of having to go through a few clicks to get that.

Could someone enlighten me as to where the Santa Statue is? I wouldn't mind getting a photo when I'm down there next time.

If you're going south on 162 from I-64 (Exit 63), drive all the way to the stop light and turn left. The drive to the statue and the Santa Claus Museum is the first one on your right.
I also just looked and saw what appears to be a small parking lot along the road to the Legend lot that has a path leading up to the statue. I didn't know about that, but I suppose you could just go there also.
Here's the Bing map. The museum is the green-roofed building; the statue is at the end of the narrow path just to the north of that building.
The NEW bunny hop, mmmmmmmmm:
