They took a break from working on them after Will's death. So, I imagine there isn't much to report.

I think they will be starting to work on them again this week. I am sure that as soon as Paula has something to report, it will be on FB or posted in this thread.
I too was extremely anxious to ride these, but being shaken by the big picture as to what is really important, I have a new level of patience. At least with Holiday World.
Before you can be older and wiser you first have to be young and stupid.
I know nothing that any of you don't already know.
But assuming that the break story is true (and we have no reason to believe that it isn't; it's just that it came from a second-hand source, albeit one who named a reliable extreme-insider and is himself usually trustworthy)...
Could it be that Gravitykraft is finally happy with the form of the first train, and is using this time to make the final matching tweaks to the second train? We have heard previously that once the first train was done, the second train would be delivered complete and ready to break in...

Timberliners Update: Our friends at The Gravity Group (Gravitykraft) are continuing their work on refinements to the new train design. Since we’re in full throttle with the season, we will not have sufficient chunks of time for testing until we’re back to weekends-only operation. We'll keep you updated with progress as we move into "weekends-only" after August 15. Thanks for your patience -- they'll be worth the wait! Meanwhile, The Voyage is running great using the original trains. :0)
Yes, I do. But, I'll be there regardless.

Nah, I'm not worried about it. It's a whole lot different when you can basically own the ride all week. I think they'll have plenty of time.

For you Facebook fans of HW, they are posting a video later today on the updates going on with Voyage and some news on the Timberliner trains. What I found interesting is the pic they posted of the entire section of track missing at the turnaround. My guess is they either needed access to the rest of the turnaround for retracking or they are making a change to that bump before the first 90 degree turn.
Guess we'll see.

...the Dan/Chad/Voyage/Timberliner video will be made public at approximately 12:30pm CT today. You can catch it then on our YouTube Channel, from our Facebook page, or via the HoliBlog.

Holiday World
A tenth of a second more airtime! Whoo-who!
Thanks for the update Paula. It is interesting to see the depth of changes that are taking place during the off-season. Do they have a tentative timeline when they will complete the re-tracking?
I can't think of another park that would endeavor into the wholesale replacement of a section of a ride. That's dedication.

Wait. Did that video just say the spaghetti bowl is being re-desinged? I must admit, the spaghetti bowl for my first night ride on the Voyage was the most terrifying experience that I have ever had on a roller coaster. (Good job Holiday World! :)) I am a bit nervous that the spaghetti bowl will lose a little of its punch, but this is Holiday World. Whatever they do, it will be great.
As I understand it, that little uphill "bump" (for lack of a better term) before the outward banked turn will be smoothed out/removed. Otherwise the spaghetti bowl will remain the same.

You mean a section like from the second hill the whole way back to the station? I can think of another... :)
