Sfog: i think they will get an impulse coaster: if you think about it SFGAM and SFOG are almost the exact same park
(Nija=Demon ) (S:UF=S:UF) (Deja Vu=Deja ) (Georgia Cylone =Viper )(American Scream Machine=American Eagle)only not racing.... (Georgia Scorcher= Iron Wolf) (Giant Drop=Acrophobia)
SFOG will hold off the 04 season for a hyper and get a Impulse...it will be the SFGAM of the south....then in 05 due to outstanding attendance because V2(SFOG new impulse) Ragging bull is built(ok any name will work) but you get the picture

Fear the Wrath of the Orient Express!!

I second that opinion. I love the Oreint Express. WOF needs some money to maintain their rides, they are falling apart left and right, if they did, where's the money going? ::end of upset at WOF bashing::
I am really looking forward to Silver Dollar City and Celebration City's annoucement for the 2004 season. Can't wait to see what's going on for next year.

The most shocking news will be the $4.00 admission increase at all Six Flags parks to cover FREE parking and unlimited soda FREE-fills (you provide your own container). This 'original' idea from SF Inc will keep guests comming back again and again.
SFOG opened Superman Unltimate Flight in 2002. They have been adding new coasters every other year or two for the last several years. So--I was just wishful thinking, not complaining.
I don't live in a dream world and I know the financial status of today's parks. I thought that this forum was to have fun and be light hearted. I am new to Coaster Buzz and find that remarks like yours make me wonder why I joined. You need to get a life if you take this so seriously.
This is a hobby for me.
When I read your post, it came off as some spoled kid who thinks/wants a coaster every year at SFoG. I am sorry that I seemed to have misinterpreted your post and if I came across hostile.
I guess I can only take so many 13 year old kids (oh lord, now I am going to hear it from them! lol) saying that every park in the country is getting a rocket coaster or a 4-D.
Again, I apologize for my post. I definitely don't want a newbie (even though it says you signed up in Apr 02) to leave because of me!
Joe, who still doesn't think SFoG is getting a coaster next year :)

Apology accepted. I am a 36 educated, professional that enjoys coasters to reduce stress from my executive level position. I had heard the rumor about Visionland from an ACER and was just wishful thinking for SFOG.
I joined Buzz in 04/03.
Gotcha. I have been to Visionland twice this year and talked with a couple of ride ops (yes, I know, they're the most trustworthy sources in the park), and both times they said a new wooden coaster is being put in. Definitely don't buy that one myself. However, it is confirmed that they are going to be retheming/redoing the parks log flume ride into "Jurassic Journey" complete with dinosaur figures and all that jazz.
As for SFoG, well, I haven't seen or heard anything reliable (other than the wishful thinking hyper, but I think people are realizing the park isn't going to build a hyper for next year when there's absolutely no type of construction work going on). They may get something small, like a flat ride, but I can't see them putting in any sort of coaster. I think they'll milk SUF for another season at least.
Are you a SFoG local?

Are you going to attend Visionland's Rip Roarin Rampage in September?
Back to the subject again, I can't wait to hear what Holiday World has to say for their 04 season...maybe we'll get four new attractions? ;)
How 'bout it, Paula?!

Yep signed up in 2001 and has 54 posts to his name - sure looks like a "reliable" source to me.
