Were are "you" going this year

For myself, I'm trying to plane an all round trip for SFDL, Cedar Point, and Kings Island. Superman ride of steel like every year, then off to ride TTD and are latest creation Maverick. Ive never got the pleasure to ride either one so its imperative I do. An expensive trip with lots of fun. Then the big woodys over at Kings Island. Yum! Son of beast baby...............oh yeah!
My original home is in Ontario, which means I'm hoping to get my passport soon before it gets bazerk.

Today being the last day of February, I find myself getting excited for the upcoming season.

So where does your heart take you this year? What rides are you setting your eyes on this year, that, you can't say no to? Some people more then likely want to hit up a park they have never been before, like me. Were and what is on your agenda this year? Lots of coasters, and lots of parks.

Ask not what you can do for a coaster, but what a coaster can do for you.
My trips are seeming to line up as we get closer to full season.

I say full season because my season is starting March 24th (weather permitting) at Carowinds, then down to Orlando for Monday through Friday at Disney and Universal. I am not sure which parks which days yet.

Then it looks like weekends at Hershey and Dorney until July or August, to get my season passes revved up. Then In July or August it's time to abuse a Cedar Fair pass. Dorney, Geauga Lake, Cedar Point, Michigan's Adventure, Valleyfair and Kings Island in a 2 week driving loop. Along with stops at Kennywood, Hershey, Mall of America, (maybe) SF Great America, Indiana Beach, and Holiday World during the same 2 week trek.

Throw in a day at Kings Dominion and a few day trips to Knoebels and my yearly PPP Knoebels visit it looks to be a good year for me ride wise.

Watch the tram car please....
I don't plan on going anywhere new to me. Then again, there's a new GCI in my backyard now and a Gerstlauer coming to the mall sometime in '08. So I don't have to leave town at all for new coasters.

On the other hand, Da Babies (and I use that term LOOSELY) haven't been to CP since Da Midget was 5. So we'll probably take a week to hit The Point, GL and PKI. I'm not sure if we'll do this in early June or early August right now.

And they'll certainly wanna do WoF in late August when the MO kids are back in school. That oughtta cover it.

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

The only parks I will be attending to this year are Michigan's Adventures ( a lot ) Cedar Point, Kings Island, and SF Great America.

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

Damn Banister! You've got a TON on your plate.

I'll try to hit Canobie Lake (haven't been in about six years), SFNE (never been), and if i have the chance (and money) a banzai run out to CP, and maybe hit KW, DP, & SFGA on the loop back to NH. Aw hell, I might as well hit Kenobles & KI too. (again, money permitting.)

I'll be returning to Enchanted Forest and Oaks Park at some point in August, and in October I'll revisit SFMM, KBF, and USH.

I'm in LV, so I'll get plenty of Speed, Despy, TRCANYNY, included with visits to the AD throughout the year. Well, OK. One trip at NYNY will suffice for a year or more.

After Wicked as been open a while (IE; known to be reliable), I'll bust my Lagoon cherry; late May to early June-ish I figure.

The only thing with concrete dates involve my first PPP. That Friday at BGE, Sat at Knoebel's, Sun at LC, and Mon at SFNE.

They Live. We Sleep.

I feel deprived. I am going to WOF for Coaster Mayhem and WDW May 24th - June 4th. (May hit up IOA, US, and SW also but not planned)

Clearly I'm not fit to run this site. I know I'll visit CP and Geauga Lake, Holiday World because we have an event there, and Universal because of my BMG tickets. Other than that, I don't have anything even remotely firm.

Robo, if you're in NE, swing up to Salem, NH & hit Caonbie Lake park. It's a fun little park with a SWEET old PTC woody: the Yankee Cannonball!

I could even skip SFDL this year and do a CP, Dorney Park, Kings Island loop around this season like the other CBers. My other mission one year is to get all the way down to SFGADv. To far though.

How long would it take me coming from London, Onatario to Dorney Park? Taking proper driving routes.

Ask not what you can do for a coaster, but what a coaster can do for you.
I have trip that I have planned where I would hit 17 parks in 14 days. But by the time I have the money to do so I will likely add more days so I can enjoy the parks a little bit more and maybe add a few more parks maybe too.
I'm doing a little less this year as the pyrotechnics company I contract with has a ton of displays lined up.

Here's the limited plan:

SFGAm (multiple times)

STStL

WoF

Adventureland (IA)

Valleyfair

Holiday World (CB Fall Affair)

CP if things work out

"Heavily medicated for your safety!"

Coaster, try about 8-9 hours give or take. it al depends on how long it takes at the boarder crossing. For you, it'd be about 500 miles or so. *** Edited 2/28/2007 10:30:28 PM UTC by Hopman***
