I never said the park is "bad" but what I meant by that is that we havn't had a new coaster in 4 years.
Remember back when the Viper was the only coaster at Darien Lake? Built in '82 or '83... Then the Predator came in '90. That was a 7 year period of no new coasters. In the 12 years since we've had 4 new coasters; Nightmare, Mind Eraser, Boomerang, and of course Superman: ROS. Thats a new coaster every 3 years on average. Granted Nightmare is gone and there hasn't been a new coaster since S:ROS but at the same time they've added Hook's Lagoon & the wave pool (Can't remember the name off the top of my head), Twister, Shipwreck Falls, not to mention an ever-evolving laser light show every night. So I can deal with no new coasters for 4 years. Are they due for one? You bet. Does it mean the park is "getting bad"? No way!!

But I didn't go to the park between 1982 and 1990. So it didn't effect me. :)
SFDL has plenty of room in the park to build another coaster without losing one.
This is my homepark and i have a lot of homepark pride I love my park and in no way will I bash it.
I've been to alot of parks over the years and yes there are quite a bit of parks that have a lot more than SFDL but there are also parks with a lot less.
I think we have one of the best and grandaddy of all Intamins hypers the one that started it all, the one that was voted #4 coaster in the world behind other great coasters.
I'am proud to be a SFDL fan.

You can love it all you want, "darienlakefan"... but you better face the fact... it may just be SFDL's Mind Eraser that is the one for sale.
Where is this poll conducted? On the official Six Flags web site? That's completely unofficial and anyone can easily skewer the results on there... the hard facts is what speaks, like maintaince, popularity in hard numbers... and of course, the future.
Nobody knows for sure what SLC it is, but it very well can be any park, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it was SFDL... then again, the other two parks wouldn't surprise me either.
To be totally honest with you i can care less if the ride is gone because I've ridden a ton of these things and they do nothing for me in terms of thrills, and you know what they say about SLC's " If You've ridden One You've ridden them all".

i was thinking about this today at work. if SFDL removes there SLC, then thats going to put them 2 behind for the coaster capital of NY instead of just one (not that that would be a big deal, but still something to think about since thats been there marketing campaign for a few years now).
now on a year when the park has no big attractions (if any) coming in, would they really remove a ride that draws some of the GP away from other rides? i dunno...its possible

But this makes me think there are some rumors that SFDL was looking to install a coaster behind the go kart tracks, these tracks aren't to far from Mind Eraser's current location, if a coaster was long enough and big enough it would stretch from the tracks to ME's location. Hmmmmmmm.......makes you think.

shaggszgn said: Woodstock Express has the same layout as a roller skater, but of course has different trains.
Just a FYI here, but Woodstock does *not* have the same layout as a standard rollerskater. Woodstock is taller and longer, as is IOA's custom Flying Unicorn. Standard Rollerskaters can be found at SFKK and SFGAm.
