Vekomas cheap

2 Vekoma's cheap:

http://irmpri.com/current.htm

Now the SLC, being in the USA, would have to be either Mind Eraser at Six Flags Darien Lake, Six Flags New England, or Elitch Gardens.

That seems like a good bargain for a small park at 2.3 million.

The Soquet looping coaster must be Seabreeze's Quantum Loop which is also listed at Ital International for 800k.

Just thought I's throw this out there.

Any guesses as to which SLC might be leaving?

Interesting. Looks like one of those 3 SF parks is looking to lose it's SLC!

I'd take the Intimidator over it for only $600.000! Also, I'd rather have that roller skater!

You know of any other sites that have rides listed for sale.

SFWoA has a SLC as well, but I don't realy see them selling that one, since I read from others it's the best SLC out of the bunch.

Edit: I also see a '79 Arrow Flume (1300ft) on the list, it sounds like Deer Park Plunge at SFWoA. I have heard tons of rumors of the park moveing it or getting rid of it all together.

SFWOA's SLC wasn't built in 1997 like the site says the ride was built. I hope it's SFEG, the had an attendence increase this year.

I talked with the Dippin' Dots guy and he assured me that Cedar Point was to get that 10-inversion terra-woodie-invert-stand-up because Magnum is sinking. The current construction is for the new super-Dippin' Dots stall he is to run.

usedrides.com is a good used rides site, scary though!

You're right rockman, after a quick research, SFWoA's SLC opened in '98.

I have a theory:

SFMW appears to be (people have reported track sightings) recieving the Texas Tornado from SFAW. Perhaps they will remove Kong to acommadate it.

-----------------
California Screamin- it's good!

The site said "1997 SLC". Kong at SFMW was built in 1998. So it's not Kong

Actually, Kong was built in 1995 at Opryland as Hangman. It was there until the 1997 season and was purchased by Six Flags and assembled at SFMW as Kong. As Show here in the "relocated to" slot:

Someone was asking about a Rainbow...

Rainbow and Falling Star are two different rides, but the ride action is similar. Falling Star comes from Chance and has A-frame supports both in front of and behind the ride platform. The Rainbow is built with one very large support arm on the back side only. Hmmm...let me see what I can find...

Click here for the Huss Rainbow

CRM has removed the Falling Star from the Chance web page. But Holiday World's newly-departed Banshee is a Chance Falling Star.

Its down to SFDL, SFEG, or SFNE. Those were the only SLCs in 1997. My guess is Elitch Gardens because of the space problems and that I have seen SFDL and SFNE are always full lines.

Its always been rumored that Great Escape would be getting one of those from another park so we will have to wait.

I thought someone was telling us why Vekoma was cheap or I wouldn't have posted this: http://coasterbuzz.com/forums/thread.asp?ForumID=11&TopicID=27851 ;)

So, since we're not sure who wants to sell their SLC, where is the Roller Skater coming from? The only match from 1996 I can find is Barnstormer from Magic Kingdom. I would find it very stange if they wanted to sell that, so there must be something I overlooked.

I just created a new post before seeing this one. (now deleted...sorry about that) here was my new post:

I just read the other post about an SLC for sale, and i checked out the site: http://irmpri.com/current.htm and on there, they are listing the following:

1980 Huss Enterprise for $125,000 and a 1984 Huss Rainbow also for $125,000 could these be Great Escape's for sale? There Huss Enterprise has been down for a few years now, and there Rainbow has been SBNO for over a year now. Anyone have any clue?

btw...The SLC being sold isnt SFNE's
