Valleyfair getting a new coaster or not???

Ok... I'm just saying it was said by a RELIABLE source over on the TN forums.

Honest question - can you tell us what makes your source reliable?
He's told us what rides Valleyfair was going to get every year ever since 2003. He's been 100% correct, and this year, he says this, that it's gonna be a GCI woodie.
God I love the Lemon Chill guy :)

Real Cbuzz quote of the day - "The classes i take in collage are so mor adcanced then u could imagen. Dont talk about my emglihs" - Adamforce
God I love someone who works for the park and can't keep their mouth shut. ;)
Thanks for clearing up that fiscal stuff for me Swoosh. By the way, he doesnt work for Valleyfair.

hello
Yes, he just has an inside source from Valleyfair. By the way, It will be the first GCI that is more "spread out".
I didn't say it was him, I just said "someone" and who says that "someone" is not also the "someone" that I know? ;)
Haha, confusing? I'm going tommorow I would say "I'll Take Pics", but then I'd be lying so... No pics, just a mini construction TR.

You dont know that...

hello
Well from what Drewbie said it sure sounds like it.
I went to check out the area and there are a few markers out there. There are about 4-5 wooden stakes with different colored flags and markings on the wood, and then some wire flags all around the drainage area. On the other side of the service road I could see one tree that looked like it was marked with a ribbon. The area looked small for a wooden coaster but it could be the start of one I guess.
Cool, I'll report what I see today unless we're rained out.
Can someone please tell me why Cedar Fair spent 8.5 million on Steel Venom when they could have spent about 3-5 million more and gotten a nice floorless? (yes, I'm bitter)

Because...? I don't know. I saw everything. Markers in Thunder Canyon and on the area across from the waterpark.

Um, floorlesses cost A LOT more than that.

He's saying if they spent 3-5 million more as in 8.5+ 5 more million or so. At least, I think.

hello
That is still low for a floorless -- a quality one that is.

Also IF the park had thought the ROI was there they would have done so -- obviously they did not and thus why you got Venom instead.

Oh by the way... when I visited the park yesterday, on the grassy area across from the waterpark, I saw a bunch of little pink flags that said "wetland delineation" Possible Ride name? Haha.
Not to go off topic...

But I also heard that the Imax is on it's last leg and soon to be removed from VF.

IF this is true, will it come into play with this new coaster?

Can anyone else validate this?

Thanks for another great season, VF!
