Valleyfair getting a new coaster or not???

I'm just looking at past history of CF cap-ex, and the fact that MiA is, well, MIA, and it LOOKS to me like VF! is ready - Patriot being the '06 install at "the other small park".

Of course, CF *totally* proved me wrong with the PP expansion, so.... ;)

I'd like to see a wood coaster but I'm betting it will be a B&M, most likely an invert. Not sure where these GCI rumors are coming from.
I too doubt the woodie rumors for VF. CF has only built one woodie: Mean Streak (based on the last time I saw that issue discussed).
And nothign indicates they will build one again, at least not in the forseeable future.
Yeah, but Drewbie says it's gonna be a woodie.
I don't visit that site too often so I did not know he predicted that, but that actually changes my mind. He seems to be the one guy who seems to know and does talk. A new woodie would be awesome at VF (assuming it lives up to new woodie standards that seem to have been set by most new woodies). *** Edited 8/9/2006 9:26:05 PM UTC by RavenTTD***

^Proof?

Xtreme Swing was running before Christmas.

That is NOT proof that there is money left over and I'm not exactly sure what you are getting at by even mentioning it.

I think I know who you are too. I remembered you from Mayhem at WOF, answering all the trivia questions.

Yes that was me at Mayhem. IT really wasn't fair on my part to answer all of those questions since there was maybe (at most) 5 people in attendance that even half-way knew most of that stuff. I just happen to be a huge WOF nerd like Jennifer Lovesee-Mast (The one doing the questions) and just happend to know things like that.

At Craze, I was wearing my yellow MiG polo, if that helps.

Sorry, I just assume that when they build something in 2005 that they are going to use their 2005 budget.

hello
^Nope, fiscal year doesn't work that way.

"Accounting" years typically don't run in conjunction with the calendar year....some are Oct 1- Sept 30, while my employer, the State of FL, runs July 1 - June 30. It helps to "finish the books" when EVERYONE isn't out on Holiday vacations... ;)
Some of your major box retailers run the same way. For example Wal-Fart starts their fiscal year the second week of Feb.

Usually the fiscal year ends following a busy season. Many retailers see their fiscal years end around February, after the holiday rush has subsided for enough time for everything to be calculated.
Some guy on TN said this!!! So apparently the location has been changed a bit from what I had been originally told. The ride will be going in on the grassy area across from the waterpark, before the tunnel under the service road. The ride's station will be where the little store is currently near the looping starship and ICEE stand. The ride will go over the service road, have minor interaction with Thunder Canyon, and weave through the trees behind Thunder Canyon all the way back to the employee parking area.

I asked about height or any other details and all they knew was that it was significantly taller than High Roller, but not over 200'.

So it's still a GCI woodie, just not up where Antique Autos are. I think that's a great thing. The back of the park really does need more traffic.

--So Basically, it'll be under 200, but over 100, it'll have a tunnel, it'll be a GCI, and it'll be AWESOME!

You want to buy a bridge?

The location never did change. It has been there from the begining. I'm sorry that your "contact" sucks. The location of Antique Cars was never an option.

You may regret saying that ;)

Yes it was on other forum boards. By the way. Once I started saying "So apparently the location has been changed a bit from what I had been originally told.", that was another guy... not me. Also, it will NOT have a tunnel, but will have all the other facts that I presented.
Wow...if someone said it on a message board it must be true!!! OMG!@!!!!

And given CF's habit of buying similar coasters for some of their parks....
