Ugly Coasters

Wildcat is neon green, not yellow, and I think the paint job looks great.

Moosh, I even think those coasters aren't too bad. ;)

While both deliver great rides, I've never been a fan of Nitro's or Medusa East's color schemes.

I do think the different colored trains on RB are a nice touch.

I love Screams & Nitro's Color Schemes...alot of coasters in my RCT2 parks have similair color schemes...

I think Conneaut Lake's Blue Streak needs to get it's much deserved paint job finished.

In my town, before they were torn down, the Jack Rabbit and Wildcat really looked bad.

Are we talking about operating coasters? The Jack Rabbit and Wildcat sat there SBNO for 17 years.

Aside from Astroworld, I definetely agree that TTD is hideous looking. I think that the parking spaces underneath Scream ruin it.

I think anything just simple gray with no bright colors is ugly, with the exception of Nemesis. This would include Oblivion and most of the Batman inverteds.

Six Flags Marine World's Kong is also a hideous combination of two colors - red track and peach supports.

Expedition GeForce* and Goliath** (SFH) happen to have pretty ugly color schemes too. Orange track and brown supports*, Lime green track and violet supports*

C'mon how do you not like Goliath SFH? Another color scheme I frequently use for coasters in RCT2

I love those! I thought it was a great idea. A little over-priced, but very cool.

Lime green and purple is among my favorite combination of colors anywhere. It's way better than the overused red, white and blue, red and black, black and white, and other cliched things painters who can't match their coveralls to their shirts come up with.

Scream, Medusa, Goliath, and the coasters at Knott's are all very attractive.

I'd argue that Space Mountain, when you can see it with its lights on, isn't too attractive. But then, that's why it's kept in the dark. I don't find Hulk at all attractive because it's just too big to fit in at IOA. Dueling Dragons, at least, are a little less obtrusive.

A Dragon Wagon is pretty hideous.

I waited for 7.5 hours through four tornado warnings and all I have to show for it is this lousy kiddie coaster credit.

I think SLC's are very attractive rides, and of the two I rode (Top Gun @ PCW and Kong @ SFMW) I must say Top Gun was not impressive, but Kong blew me away, I was expecting the same ride as Top Gun and found a much more enjoyable one.

As for the ugliest coaster, I gotta say that, while this may have not been the ugliest coaster to begin with, after the reconfiguration, it's hard for me to look at, it just looks indescribably terrible. http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery254.htm?Picture=2 blah! I can't even tell you how much I hate the look of that coaster.

I also have to second the Twisted Twins as being pretty hideous, I'm a big CCI fan, but I loathe the looks of that coaster.

Warning: I do not think like the average person. My remarks have plenty of thought behind them. Take it for what it's worth, if you disagree, please, feel free to express it, but don't put me down because of it.

For those b**ching about Knott's paint jobs, at least they paint their coasters unlike SFGAm, which have some very ugly coasters because of the lack of painting: Deja Vu, Demon, Batman...

The ugliest for me has to be Maggie. Great coaster, but the ugliest freakin trains I have ever seen on a coaster and it too needs some TLC with the paint.

Oh please, the coasters at SFGAm look just fine. I'd rather have a few chipped off places than have all the coasters at SFGAm suddenly become obnoxious overnight. Knott's makes me want to throw up.

My wife was telling a friend that we're coaster enthusiasts recently. Her friend wondered why we would drive 9 hours to look at "coasters." Some people...

Exactly why I think it does fit. It's the Hulk! It's supposed to be huge! ;)

Then again, I'm a little biased.

It's supposed to be huge when you're in Marvel Superhero Island! When you're in Lost Continent, you shouldn't see it at all! :)

Almost all portable coasters that are in traveling carnivals look like crap. I mean come on, they have wood blocks holding up the framwork on the bottom! If thats not ghetto looking I don't know what is.

Newsflash: Excalibur at Astroworld has been gone for years, replaced by an SLC.

If you have a problem with clones, the solution is real simple—Stop traveling.
I thought NITRO was pretty ugly looking. It even took away from the ride experience, personally. It's too bad too, with all those nice trees around it. Those colors are just so 80's and ugly. It would look great if it was all one color.. the original "Mindbender Green" metallic green I kept thinking.. that would look great!
Zonga is held up by wood blocks, and I think it looks pretty attractive. I actually like the look of rustic steel and wooden coasters. It just makes the ride look even better. I like: AstroWorld's Collection, Pitfalls at Kennywood, and Revolution at SFMM just to name a few.

Ugly is: Flying Unicorn (IOA) and Volcano (PKD)
