Ugly Coasters

I like Scream's paint scheme. It's something different, even though it's in the middle of a parking lot. Viper is an ugly coaster.

Actually, I beg to differ with earlier comments. I think Jaguar at Knott's would have made my list of ugliest coasters...but since the paint job, it's one of the nicest looking. It's an amusement park...give me lot's of bright happy primary colors!

I'll also have to defend Scream's color scheme, it's bright but it's not obnoxious. I don't think Gemini looks too bad with its steel track and wooden supports, but I do think that wooden tracked rides with steel supports look bad. If you're talking straight bad paint scheme, I think Orochi (Japanese copy of Raptor) takes the cake. It's a wierd pink color with everything else white, and it doesn't help that it's supposed to be green.

Orochi is an ugly coaster. Kind of ruins Raptor's colors. But Xcelerator at KBF has to be one of the most appealing coasters I've seen.

I can't believe you guys forgot Twisted Twins at SFKK. The is freakinf aweful.

Any Ninja ride (SFStL and SFOG) not nessarily the pant... more or less the excessive head banging.

But maybe the color scheme is very appealing to the Japanese...Nasai, you out there? Does your wife think that Orochi's ugly?? ;)

Speaking of SFKK, Chang has to be the ugliest B&M coaster I have ever seen.

Where did you come up with that?

There are two coasters at Astroworld that come to mind. Ultra twister has got to be the friggen ugliest ride ever, and it's a Togo to boot. Also, Batman the Escape is a rust bucket painted a horrible off puke color.

Wood - anything else is just an imitation

I thought that Viper at SFGAdv was ugly, but it fit into the theming very well. Its a neat ride to look at, but if you want my advice, just look at it, don't ride it.
Deja Vu at SFGAm. The paint on the supports has really crappy touch-ups that aren't even the right color. Not to mention that wooden platform.
I think Scream has an awesome color scheme. I think Scream would count as a beautiful coaster not an ugly one.

I don't know if coasters can be ugly, but the most unappealing looking coasters would have to be Vekoma SLC's as mentioned earlier.

SLCs and Meisho coasters? What's so ugly about this? Or this?

SLC's are junk. I never liked them and I think they're ugly looking.

Not to mention the ride sucks

SLCs look nice; it's the footers that are ugly. At least the one at SFWoA... they are just scattered around randomly, and they're huge and blocky. Same with BKF.

Speaking of ugly footers, SFA's Superman is darn ugly.

Wild Cats' (Cedar Point) new color scheme is pretty ugly. Repainting it to a bright yellow was a mistake and the color before was just fine.
