Was just wondering how the attendance was at GL, and your opinion on Big Dipper and Villain, if you got on them.
Villian might be slightly better than last year but still a far cry from how it used to be during its first couple of years. It's rideable but I wouldn't want to marathon on it.
There was a healthy crowd, though most of it was in the waterpark. No significant lines except for the log flume and, curiously, Thunderhawk.
Raging Wolf Bobs doesn't like it's been touched since the incident. About half the support cables for the high turnaround are disconnected for some reason.

If I don't get around to posting a TR, see what millrace said. He was there and he said pretty much what I was going to say with a lot more words.
The band organ from the carousel is gone. Just the facade is there. I hope they haven't given up on it.
Oh, and watch out for the surly parking attendants.

What from I heard GL has seen a big jump this year and were doing pretty well. I heard that the park looks better.
Yes because if you heard it on the Internet, it must be true.

Thunderhawk just got a new paint job which parks tend to do before moving a coaster.
So let me get this straight. When a park paints a roller coaster, that usually means they are going to move it? Iron Dragon and WildCat at Cedar Point were recently painted and they didn't go anywhere. FunSpot painted their Zyklon a few years back and it is still there. If that's what parks tend to do, could you name a few coasters that have been painted and then moved to another park?

Yea if it does getted moved it will be touced up but not fully painted. Their is only 2 more weeks, so maybe an anoucement in september.
Remind me again why I should take your post seriously? If it does "getted moved"? Sweet Fancy Moses...

You forgot, Corkscrew was painted from white to black in the 80s at Geauga Lake... and look where it is now!

When will someone decide that CP becomes an overblown park also? Does anyone ever think that CP will become too big for it's self?I have to comment because you make a very good point here.
I think that since Cedar Fair know the coaster count wars have ended they might as well throw in the towel on some of their older, less popular coasters and rides.
Some of them, with their age and problems have become a liability anyway, as much as I hate to see any ride removed, it could be their next step into reducing company debt and reusing space, as we've seen with the whole WWL/Mavrick installation.I mean really, how much longer are they going to choose to care for Mean Steeak, anyway?
I think the problem for Cedar Point is the fact that they probably won't want to take down there older coasters that barely get a line, and keep on adding more to prove that they have the most coasters. I think rides like Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Iron Dragon, and Mean Streak have had there time enough at the park, and should be demolished. I say get rid of Magnum too, but not many will agree with me because it's tall, and it has a significant in many people's hearts.

^ I don't know if the verb is copywritten, but I think the official "Cedar Faired Emblem" (a cement truck paving over grass as it sits stopped on a trim break) is.
I thought it was a gravel field with a felled tree in the background and a steel coaster (relocated from Geauga Lake, no doubt) rising in the foreground.
