If this ride was too short i think that it wouldnt be a classic like Magnum but more of a novelty like S:TE. I'd take a 4,000 ft long 200 ft tall coaster over a 400ft tall 1,800 ft coaster.
I just hope this ride does have something another tall ride lacks, air. Am i the only one who like airtime over turns. Note to CP: Don't make this Xcelerator on steroids!
edit:Sorry i don't read the coaster dictionary every day

How about a triple track Intamin Hydro (red, white, and blue) all over 400 feet.......all with different elements, but intertwining with each other? 8-}
But, I just think it will be one track, but DEFINITATELY an Intamin Hydro launcher. I can see it having some type of patriotic theme to it, although it will be on the coaster itself since CP does not rely on themeing in and around the queues and the coaster itself. The Xcelerator has a few 50's hot rodsparked in front of it but that is about it.

Well the later two are just wishing!

Man, I've said all of this for a couple months now and it's coming true! I just didn't think about the multi-colored coaster.
Stop thinking duels...you will just let yourselves down...
What do you guys think about the name of The Patriot or Freedom or Freedom Fighter?

I think it sounds corny.

I said from the beginning that the ride would settle various records and such, and I also said that there'd be one aspect that I know people will complain about. What do you suppose that will be?
What a strange coincidence that I was going to the park tonight...

Will it be the height that people will complain about? Because perhaps it won't dwarf Millennium Force?

Anyone think that MF will seem less thrilling and less fun if we get a 400 foot coaster. I mean who would wanna go 300ft if you could go 400
Nope, not possible. We will still love Millie.

They built Millie and I still love Maggie more then ever. height doesn't make a ride.
The colors are very pretty I love the shade of red and yellow. Does the red track seem extra tall to anyone?

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers.

Read the post before this one. Someone mentioned magic mountain getting a coaster keeping the tie between the two parks. I think thats the record people will be upset about. Not the height! He also said it's a coincidence hes going to the park tonight because JEFF is the man and he knew the track was probably coming today so he decided tonight was a good night to go to the park.
I bet what we won't like about it is that it will be a short (in length) rocket coaster like Xcelerator. You know, just a really big hill, 2 overbanked turns and a really long brake run.
Edit: That track looks narrow!

When it's bad, it's wicked.

The track will not be 50 feet above the ground after the launch if the track is sloped. Slanting the track up enough to get that high would really make a weird station, since Xcelerator's station is slanted already. maybe having it 25 feet off the ground would work, and have it rise another 12 feet or so like Xcelerator.
About the no stapling, please comment, if you expect a 3 inches of space ride, you're not going to find it. Stapling should be within reason, but the bladder pain stapling on Xcelerator's opening week was just too much. Now it feels just right, maybe just a little too tight. You still get air though even with the tighest stapling.
FYI, Xcelerator's current capacity is around 600pph, not including the regular 4 hours of downtime. Xcelerator may haved proved itself a very good ride, but it certaintly hasn't proven itself a high capacity/reliability ride. It breaks down all the time. To settle capacity issues, I would have a much longer train (upwards of 32 passengers), and also a roll out of the station and then launch, just so that the 2nd train doesn't have to wait 30 seconds to come into the station. Or, have shorter trains, a dual track station, and roll out to a launch.
Closed topic.
