Most of the newer Six Flags parks have an "overpopulation of Vekoma" rides because they were cheap. It was either those or no new coasters at all, so get used to it.
You can whine all you want about wanting a new coaster but it's not going to happen year after year. The past few years have been awesome for new coasters, but things are really slowing. Remember when Six Flags built 20 coasters in 2000 and 12 in 2001? 2002 brought just six. 2003 will bring at least that many (probably a couple more) but you can't expect a major new coaster every other year unless you're a major park (and SFA isn't!). You got a new coaster in 2001, and now it's time to ride on that for awhile.
Take a look at the other Six Flags parks: SFDL and SFAW, both of which attract more people than SFA, haven't gotten a new coaster since 1999.
SFFT and SFStL haven't gotten new coasters since 2000 and, again, they are more popular than SFA.
SFKK also hasn't seen anything new since 2000.
I'm just tired of all the whining! If you don't like what SFA is giving you, go to another area park! There are plenty of them around you and maybe if SFA popularity drops, then you *will* see something new.
Edit: The closest B&M coasters to SFA are at Hershey and BGW and are two and a half hours or less away. I'm betting that's closer than most people can say.

You know what?who cares about what six flags america does or doesn't get because there are far more better things to do in life than be worried about what park gets what rollercoaster or mechanical rides,at 29 I've just decided I don't need to waste as much of my time on this so called hobby anymore, afterall the parks are initeneded mainly for kids & families so I guess I'm just not going to be attending the parks as much anymore if at all.
If the park gets a new coaster/ride in 03 I don't care anymore because I'm not going to bother showing up to ride it.

"Look, we all go way back, and uh, I owe you from the thing with the guy in the place and I'll never forget it." "That was our pleasure." "I'd never been to Belize."
Finally Batwing Fan SFA sees my point. Who cares enjoy the park with what they have. The only thing is he chooses not to go anymore because SFA probably isn't getting a coaster so he needs time to cry about it. Hope you change your mind Batwing Fan SFA and we see you at the parks again.
I've beenchatting with the webmaster at SFA source.com via instant message and he just got back from the park, he said he indeed saw the track & supports for the coaster,so that's proof positive that the park is indeed adding a coaster for 2003.
From his vantage point he said it does appear to be wild mouse type track but couldn't tell for sure,he said he could've seen more if he had ridden Two face but didn't ride it.
I truly would like to know EXACTLY where this track is being seen.....I personally rode Two Face TODAY with Sam Marks (who is banned from Coasterbuzz), and the only coaster related items on the other side of the fence, are the old Wild One Trains!
Please tell me EXACTLY where the track is......

I never said that most of SFA's rides "suck" but it's that we havn't gotten any rides by reputable companies (cough B&M cough) but maybe someday we will, notice that I'm n ot complaining about S:ROS at all.
Of course any new ride for 03 is good wether it's a coaster or flat ride, right now it looks like a coaster is indeed coming for 03 & not a B&M but I'm still happy with the park for providing something new for next year, and for those who doubt the reported track sighting just wait until SFA has an announcement after the end of the season and then we'll see who's right & who's wrong.
So GCI, Intamin, and Dinn Corporation aren't honorable coaster makers? About 80% of buzzers would want a new Intamin mega or rocket coaster in their park more than anything else, including a B&M.
Maybe you weren't looking in the correct spot, instead next time try looking straight ahaed when you are on lift # 2.
The track & supports are there, trust me. My contacts at www.sfa-aource.com had no knowledge of the track/support sighting until he got my email just a few days ago in the rumor submission that I posted on the site as well as an instant message chat that I had with him earlier this week,I sent him the info but I'm not sure if he posted it to the site just yet.
Intamin Fan and I were both at SFA today. We saw no signs of track or surveyors marks. I carefully examined the storage and shop area from Two Face. No track was visible. The lift on Two Face provides an excellent view of this area. When you are in the end row stopped at the top the view is about as good as it could possibly be. The lift on Wild One faces directly away from this area and doesn't provide much if any view.
The only visible steel fabrications in the area were a couple of small pieces of handrail and platform, one blue one orange. They were old and neither one resembled coaster track of any sort.

Hmmmm... Looks like your "contacts" at sfa-aource.com don't have much to say.
Oh wait! You spelled that wrong! :) It was still funny!

That's a real shame. Positive proof SFA is getting a coaster next year and you won't be able to enjoy it since you said you won't be going to the park to ride it.

Sorry, but there is nothing - not even photographic proof - at www.sfa-source.com regarding track on site.
Show us the money, BATWING!

Sig under construction
From talking to one of my contacts in the Maryland area, SFA will be getting general improvements next year like most of the tier two and three SF parks. Look for maybe a flat or two from another park and basic improvements like paint jobs and such.
Don't expect to see many coasters next year.... especially B&Ms.... soooooorrrrry folks!

I hear a train a comin'
Comin' round the bend :P
TR2k3....GET READY!
Remember that just because somebody operates an amusement park fan site (like www.sfa-source, for example) doesn't mean he/she knows the park's future plans or has any "contacts". I could easily create a fan site for many parks I've been to and I don't have "contacts" for any of them.
I think it's time for Batwing Fan SFA to take his ritilin. SFA is not getting a new coaster.
