TOP THRILL Disappointment

How many people went to Coastermania and was disappointed by TTD not being open? We carried on and looked forward to other rides. I understand Jaisen's irritation, but that does not allow Top Thrill Putszer to act like a whining 5 year old. I'm sorry, you might think that your comments are cute, funny, etc, but ytou are really pushing our patience. Please stop the irrationality and think before you put something dumb down.
Well, if you are telling the truth about what CP said, and had no pryor knowledge of TTD's breakdowns, then it really did suck of them to lie to you, and people don't really have the right to tell you off. I think you wre getting a bit too dramatic about it in your first post though, but I can see why you would be mad.

TOP THRILL DRAGSTER...the next generation of break-downs

Putzter, you're killing me.

Before this thread meets its maker, let me just toss out my Dragster anecdote. I went to CP for the two days following Memorial Day, right after the cable incident. The second day I was there, CP posted signs and repeated announcements indicating that "Top Thrill Dragster's status is still uncertain, but may open later today."

At 3:00 pm, I planted myself in the line of people waiting/hoping for Dragster to possibly open. During the next four hours, the aforementioned announcement was repeated often, and clearly. Patrons, and especially the ones like me waiting in this pseudo-line, were encouraged to ride one of the parks other 60+ attractions. Everyone in the pseudo-line could read between the lines of those announcements, and some people left. But most stayed.

At 7:30, Dragster opened, and by 7:35 I was getting a 120 mph facelift. When I returned home, my friends and family were stunned that I would wait 4 hours for the possibility of a ride opening. But I explained that in my two days there, I'd already ridden everything I'd wanted to, and could think of nothing I'd rather do than wait for a chance to ride Dragster.

Bottom line is, I knew Dragster was having problems before I went, I purchased admission to the park knowing that Dragster's status was uncertain, and I planned on having a great time regardless. Getting to ride Dragster was gravy. Really good gravy. And it was made possible because of the great staff at Cedar Point. They didn't throw in the towel, even at 30 minutes till park closing.

I got lucky. Others haven't. That's life. I have way too many other coasters to ride in my lifetime before I complain about not being able to ride one.

The intelligence on this web board just overwhelms the readers.

1) People have the right to complain, leave them alone.

2) If you traveled from far, you would be upset

3) Move out of your parents' basement and GET A LIFE!

The BAT lives!

Finally someone with some function in their brain

Do we really need 70 topics on the same thing? I don't think so.
