at least someone hear has a brain that is capable of understanding the obvious
Having management tell you repeatedly over a course of three days "it will be up and running later today/tommorrow/sometime this evening" is just ludicrous.
who has not rigged something to hget it running until you could get it fixed correctly? There is also a difference between rigging until getting it fixed and rigging so horribly wrong that they dont know how to get it fixed.

Fighting the urge....fighting the urrrrrge......If this were SFMM, they'd still be tightening bolts and we'd still be waiting till December for it to even open! You know, like with S:TE or Goliath or Deja Vu. So by that particular timeframe, CP is just plain awesome, no?
Now see whatcha made me do.

I really don't see how Magic Mountain has anything to do with this. I've been to both parks, and in defense of one, I can say that Déjà Vu and Superman The Escape were both the first of their kinds, with nothing like them ever erected or tested out before them. Top Thrill Dragster, had Xcelerator to work off with, which was 1/3 of the reason why Cedar Fair decided to put in the smaller model at Knott's Berry Farm- so that Dragster would see less down time by working around problems that Knott's solved with their Rocket.
As for Goliath - I don't have any idea what you are talking about. Goliath was the first amusement park ride to open in the year of 2000, right on schedule for its set opening. And if you're talking about its broken lift-motor/chain, let's also talk about Superman Ride of Steel(s), and Millennium Force while we're at it.

"TTD, The best ride of 03"
In 1993, President Clinton noticed the rollercoaster ban and immediately called a joint-session of Congress to discuss the matter. After many hours of heated debate, the ban was lifted and Americans were free to once again to soar with the birds.
In order to capitalize on the rollercoaster craze, Cedar Pines decided to build a contraption code-named "GoldenEye". Using the "GoldenEye", Cedar Pines hoped to earn the honor of having the world's most extreme coaster.
During the development of "GoldenEye", Cedar Pines determined that the ride would not last longer than four weeks. Too far into the project to turn back, they decided to finish construction of the ride, officially named "TOP THRILL DRAGSTER."
As expected, Dragster is now broken. While they claim that a fix is only days away, the grim reality is that Dragster will never fly again. Because it travels at super-sonic speeds, Dragster completely ruined its metal rails in only four weeks time. If this coaster is ever to run again, the entire track will need to be replaced.

TOP THRILL DRAGSTER...the next generation of break-downs
-Just as a note, the Mantis lagoon appears to have been cleaned out this year, and the water looks great...I saw less nuclear fish this year too!!! :)

I play in a really awful garage band, but it's still fun.
