IT HAPPENS. Try to deal with it and have fun anyway.

ttd-7. MF-78.
You people really misunderstand the entire situation. How would you feel if the management continuously told you it was going to be open later in the day, or be open the next morning? Of course, had you not had the chance to be on it yet, you would pay (like we did) to go back. BUT IT NEVER OPENS. Personally, those damn technicians should be shot for trying to jerry-rig it. That is just repulsive!

The only reason you say that Coasterguy is because of your little "ttd-7" thing you have going there. YOU'VE BEEN ON IT!
And I haven't had a chance to be at CP for the last couple years... spare me your tears, boy.
Did the park actually say "It will for sure be open later today", or "It might be open"? There's a big difference... you sometimes hear what you want to hear.

Have any of you actually taken a look at the Mantis lagoon or any of the park's planters throughout the park before you check a vote for "cleanest park"?
EDIT : As for the Top Thrill Dragster incident (which this thread is all about), even Six Flags (which many of you so greatly despise) have their ride ops/hosts stand at the entry of a new ride that is down (or have a sign) that says NOT OPEN or they tell inquisitive guests that they don't know when it will be up and running, which is the truth. Having management tell you repeatedly over a course of three days "it will be up and running later today/tommorrow/sometime this evening" is just ludicrous.

Its not as if they weren't trying to open the ride, and I respect that. Thats just how new ride techology works.
I came out from California a few weeks ago and got 3 rides. I would have been happy with 1, and though I would have been very dissapointed if it wasn't open, I would still have had a good time at the park. That is the difference between some enthusiasts and others I guess...

The Trip: CP, SFWoA, PKI, KW, HW, IB, SFGAm, MiA and LeSourdsville too.
8 Days- 10 parks. May 2003
If this were SFMM, they'd still be tightening bolts and we'd still be waiting till December for it to even open! You know, like with S:TE or Goliath or Deja Vu. So by that particular timeframe, CP is just plain awesome, no?
Now see whatcha made me do.

"Maybe they did plan on opening it tomorrow but that night the ride ran into more probles while testing."
idiot --- it hasn't budged since last Wednesday...as far as I am concerned, they don't have a clue what is wrong with it.
