Just saw this even though it was posted over a week ago. I guess I just missed it while looking at the craziness that is HW's wall. This video is viewable without a FB account.
I was sorta hoping that ... it's definitely not an intimate little gathering over there. :)
Thanks, Paula

Did anybody else see the space between the last car of the train?
It looked like there was a row of seats missing.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I was trying to get a closer look at that myself. Possibly where the data/measuring equipment is mounted?
While at the park Sunday, I noticed that three of the cars actually appear to be missing.

Front, middle and back perhaps? Seems like a good way to estimate the forces for all all seats.

I know I'm being a bit greedy and somewhat unfair...but I'm really hoping for an update in the next couple days about when they will use the new trains. I'm still debating if I will do both BooBuzz and Fall Affair, but I know the new trains would really lock me in.
Holiday World is open to the public just 4 more weekends after Labor day. Is there some point where they would simply wait till next year?
My 2cents, they already have decided to wait. Why 'rush' when you can still do lots of testing on this new car. Think they will learn more and get more data from testing and testing. Of course the human factor will come into play sometime. Any guesses if there has been any human test riding to see how it feels yet?
From the park's perspective, at this point it makes more sense to wait until next year.
But does Gravitykraft have a greater interest in getting real people into those trains before November 16?

If they're not carrying people until next season, I wonder if they'll still honor the freebie tickets we got at HoliWood Nights? They were supposed to be used this year, but the intention was for us to ride the new trains.
I wonder if there's some benefit to getting word of mouth hype going during the off season if the TL's are only available for a few weeks at the end of the year. If they do kick butt, but have a limited audience, they may become legendary over the winter.
There may also be a significant advantage to getting them ready so they can demo them in action to potential customers. We've already talked about the Iron Horse TG retrofit being a possibility for some of the less popular woodies. I'd think GG would want to have a demo available as soon as possible to get the jump on any such business.

I'm hoping to get to ride them in a couple of weeks. I see your point, Andy, about using the off season to build some hype, but do most people even care about the trains? I guess I would assume mostly just enthusiasts know or care what these trains will do for the coaster.
I'm guessing if you took a poll of the riders of Hersheypark's Wildcat, the majority wouldn't even know there had been a train change a few years ago, let alone identify a change in the experience.

I wonder how essential it is to get these running properly on the Voyage now, so that any tweaks needed to the plans can be ironed out ahead of time on the Quassy coaster.
I'd agree with Carrie ^ I spoke to a guy a few months ago who was a huge Kennywood fan. He told me it took him 2 seasons to work out that they had removed the inversions from Phantom - "I couldn't quite put my finger on it". Madness.
Nothing to see here. Move along.

It seems like madness, but we were all there once. The problem is once you take the red pill, you can never go back.
I'm often amazed at how quickly those who aquire an 'enthusiasm' about coasters seem to forget what it was like before.
I say it all the time (too much, actually), but we're the exception.
And yes, hyping the trains seems like something that would work only within the community. Then again, HW has gone a long way playing to the community, so what do I know?
