If there is going to be any type of relocation of rides, that would be Six Flags cheapest alternative to giving Great Escape a signature B&M ride for the flagging. It'd certainly keep up the tradition that the park only recieves used rides!
...only problem is how much of ANY of the rides are completely salvagable. Rain is one thing, but a complete flodding will totally ruin the mechanics of a ride. Not to mention the putrid waters that, when drained, will have some kind of coating that'll probably eat away at the steel of the rides.
...any of the wooden structure based rides... forget it, those are just plain scrap wood now.
...I had to deal with severe heat at Cedar Po!nt in late June where the humidity was so thick & so hot, that it just POURED there because it got so humid. I don't know if that's how New Orleans weather is during the hot season on a regular basis, but it's bearable if you got shady trees & mist blasters here & there (and not queue lines in the blistering sun).

Coaster Cynic, Lake Pontchartrain is the sourse of all the water that flooded New Orleans. It actually is a mix between salt water and fresh water. Fishermen catch species of both typically salt water fish and typically fresh water fish. Really, it is just a polluted, discusting, mix.

Haha. Nice try. That could have been an option, if Mind Eraser wasn't already operating at the park. What Six Flags brand park lacks an inverted looping coaster?
Actually, a park can have 2 inverted coasters. Cedar Point has Raptor and Wicked Twister, and Darien Lake can have Mind Eraser and Batman. Besides, Batman : The Ride will be a good addition to the Batman show at Darien Lake.
And get that waterpark built
Although probably not. The park will be reopened. Megazeph will make it since the only thing needing replacing would be the wood track and maybe some rust cleaning, and all the other coasters would be good, despite some serious electrical problems maybe. I can imagine a number of flats will be trashed(some were actually moved by the water to other areas of the park!). They probably won't make it for 2006. *** Edited 9/12/2005 4:13:50 AM UTC by thepinkdoomofmonkeys***
Do we have A Geologist in the forum?
2. They have insurance.
3. Why would they rebuild? Just take the insurance $$$ and call it a loss. If I were in the decision making role that's what I would do.
Many parks could get a new ride for 2006 and
SF's could still come out with $$$ to spare. There had been talk about AW getting a new ride for 2006. Brand new!
I now think another hand me down will soon be packed up for us to revive!
You're gonna need to reprogram, rewire, get new computers, sensors, motors, gearboxes, lighting. The trains themselves may be shot. The structural steel is probably all that is salvageable from the rides. (Still cheaper than buying new ones, but you can't just move them and plug them in.)

fiesta texas does have a major looping coaster, it's the Superman.
You sound like a member of the GP (general public), and if I'm using that term you know something's getting under my skin. As already stated, a person was wondering who didn't have a major Inverted looping coaster. We're all aware that SFFT has a major Floorless looping coaster. Please when referring to rides, don't call something "the" anything if it's not part of the ride title. In this example, the coaster is called Superman Krypton Coaster, or S:KC for short. I feel much better now.
