The real "What is Holiday World up to?" thread

I am going on memory again, but I think I do remember something (in an old Holiblog perhaps) about the Koch's signing a note to finance the Raven.

*time passes*

Found it:

"Not nearly as hard as when I signed the note with the bank."

And that was a decade ago. The Raven cost $2 million.

A note could also be a check, though. Not saying that they didn't, but people do refer to checks (and dolla bills, ya'll) as 'notes'. Two party notes, dollar notes, etc.

You mean like Liberty Launch @ HW, Big Jim?

YAaarrrggghh (like a pirate)...alright matey...got me thar... ;)

(sorry...it's late)

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Sorry people, didn't mean to put this thread on it's deathbed. I remember Paula saying something about this, but I was wondering if there were any specific updates...is there going to be some sort of webcast or live feed on the internet of the announcement? Or a place to go right after the announcement is made to find out what it's all about?

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Okay so I was an idiot, did not do any research, and I was stupid. I am sorry Incidentalist, I should have shut up when the shuttin up was a good idea, can I be forgiven?

Okay, so T.O.W. means nothing to do with construction or Holiday World to me. To me it means a Tube-Launched, Optically-Tracked, Wire-Guided Missile Weapon, and I pray to Jesus and all that is holy, that HW is not getting one anytime soon. Also it could mean according to Canadian construction terms a part term of Oakum which a full term of Oakum is Joint Fillers, which I am still lost. Of course it could simply mean Tilt O Whirl and the red flags ore a symbol of demolition or removal. Also it could be the initials of construction personnel to notify who is to be doing work in that area and that is the definate area.

Mind you, even a tiny difference, such as that between 0 and 0.000126, can make a world of difference.
You know, instead of doing multiple double posts all the time, you could just edit your last post and add the info to it.
I think Holiday World should get a coaster like Powderkeg @ Silver Dollar city....

Now that would be sweet!!!

a clue we missed?

A Gravity Group/Intamin launched woodie w/ LIMs???!!!???

48 hours - and counting!

If you missed the Evansville Newcast with Will this morning, he did a great job of saying alot without saying anything, just what he was supposed to do I am guessing. Hinted to all of the holidays that Paula has listed in her Holihints. Thanks alot Will!

Life is an amusment park -and I can't get off of the damn spinning teacups!

Will for President!

Honestly I would vote for Will for President. With the way he runs Holiday World, would any of us not think he might be capable of running the country? LOL!

Based on the waterpark article it looks like I will be spending more time in the waterpark...not just in the new holiday of the park.

so.....what did he say, I mean, besides not saying anything?

'Scuse me Tek...not meaning to be rude, but when exactly was the last time or "all the time"s that I've double posted? I know how to edit my posts, I just felt as though there was no need to edit the last one, since I branched off completely into somewhere else, and then decided to bring it back on topic with another question. Two different ideas, no need to ahve them in an edited post. Besides, it wasn't right after the fact either...an entire day had passed.

Sorry about the rant. But nobody actually answered my question...webcast?

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

When I know specifics about a possible webcast, I'll HoliBlog it.

And yes, our website will be updated after the announcement on Wednesday.

BigJim....I think Tek was referring to wooohoooboooy....;)

In answer to your question (sort of, LOL)....Paula said: "Just heard there's a good chance the announcement will be carried live on a website other than ours ... I'll be sure to provide the URL if this happens (it'll be on the HoliBlog as well)."

For now, just the HW site....Paula will keep us posted once she finds someone else webcasting... :)

Ooooooooooh!!!!!!! T-minus 2 days and counting. Let's all post our guesses Tuesday night.

Matthew...can you rephrase that in English? ;)

hmmmmmmmmmmm moosh was channeling yoda there I think. (quote in case moosh edits that)

My guesses are Steel Supported Woodie with a 66 degree drop. There will be 3 trains of 7 cars holding 4 passengers per car (84). The midways in the areas will all be 20'. And whatever goes in Splashin' Safari will have 24.2 seconds of ride time.

Watch the tram car please....
Ooooh ok thanks Gator...I didn't even see that woohoo's post had been edited...thought he was referring to me...my apologies, Tek...hope you can forgive me for my outburst.

I'll be sure to watch any webcast you guys may have :)
