The real "What is Holiday World up to?" thread

I did end it when I agreed with the rule of nazi analogies.

Paula, do you not use bug spray before going out into the weeds?

The photographer was up here to get photos for an article about having an econonical visit. Silly me, I figured we'd take photos of a Pepsi Oasis building or something like that. (She ended up using a shot of Zinga.)

When we got to the botton of the lifthill at The Raven, I saw the trees had grown enough that standing on the pathway is no longer that great of a shot. So (idiote moi!) I suggested crossing underneath the first drop and shooting from over there. We were there quite a while.

The bites are not nearly as itchy now (considering it's been 10 days!) but are still unsightly.

Definitely need to keep a can of "Off" on my shelves here in my office. Next to my sunscreen, after-sun lotion, and Giorgio parfum. :)

Swoosh I once read that the scents that are in bug spray attract bugs to the area you are in and that once the deet or other active ingredient wears off then you are pretty much done for. What I have tried in the past is taking Garlic supplements its not strong enough for people to smell them in the oils of your skin but the bugs can.
Paula,

I'm going to be in Ocean City, MD on the day of the announcement, I don't guess there is any chance y'all will postpone the announcement for a week or so would ya?

Thanks

;)

Good thing the internet is in Ocean City now.
They have bug sprays that have taken care of that problem now woohooboy.

Oh and Paula, you should look at our contact photo on our website now. Splashin' Safari makes a great backdrop. :)

Jut click on the 'Edit' button then there should be a box and you can check delete this post.

Ooo.. 7 seconds off Raven. ;) *** Edited 7/9/2005 9:59:37 PM UTC by Corkscrewy***

Are you going to go hit the boardwalk and Trumpers? I was there back in May during the week and unfortunately none of the rides were open. The whole boardwalk was fun and I could just imagine how great it would be when the rides up and running.

Hey Paula you got a number I can call thats tollfree or something from my cell because I'll be at Mt. Olympus riding the "other" new wooden rollercoaster by gravity group. I can't wait though! :)

I don't have a laptop so I can't get internet at the Kalahari...unless they have computers I guess.

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

Hey all;

Head on over to Negative-G.com when you get the chance as I have just put up another batch of construction photos. Does anyone have any idea what "T.O.W." means as it's on all of the flags that have sprouted up around the Virginia Reel?

Have Fun

Tow? As in towing a car? As in taking it away? ;)

Oh and Woohooboy, I shouldn't interfere with your pointless argument, but I have to say that "dissing" other's, posting idiotic statements, and being an overall ass to everyone (at least that's my point of view) will not get you many, if any, friends on coasterbuzz. But wait, your mature and know everything, so I guess I'm just wasting my time typing this. :)

Yep! I will be hitting the boardwalk, Pier Rides, Trimpers and Jolly Rogers. Sorry you missed Trimpers. Talking about a park with history.

For anyone interested here's a little history on the park:

However, the one thing Ocean City doesn't have and every amusement park should have is a great bare wood roller coaster like the Raven. I guess there are some things history can't teach you.

So, did I kiss but enough to get the announcement postposted? ;)

A day at the park is what you make it!

I think its time to creat a Part II of this topic, so that after Wed we dont reach page 100 in a single topic! That would get hard for people reading for the first time to read... Plus it will look more organized if we breat it up into II sections, Before the announcment (speculation), and after the announcment (now we can make even more speculations!)..

Just an Idea...

But this is part II.

Paul - I'd bet the "W" is for "walkway."
Just so you know ... I don't know.

Teasing Our Wonderers?

Trash Of the Week?

Just heard there's a good chance the announcement will be carried live on a website other than ours ... I'll be sure to provide the URL if this happens (it'll be on the HoliBlog as well).

Paula (definitely, let's start a new thread on Wednesday...something we can all agree on!)

Paula, will the $13.5 million be paid in cash (you know what I mean) or are you financing part of it?

I think even Cedar Point finances a bit there or so.
