The real "What is Holiday World up to?" thread

And even though several other suggestions would probably be a much better guess, I still want a terrain hugging S&S or Premier launched coaster snaking through the woods.
Does "webcam in rehab" mean it is moving to the construction site? And when you say, "go outside and get some air," do you mean more or less air than Shivering Timbers?
^ No, the webcam truly is in rehab. Should be back soon...when the new water tower is up.

I've never ridden ST ... just wanted to be sure you all remembered to breathe once in a while!

Paula, you really should make the trip up to Michigan's Adventure this year to ride it. You might find out why Raven and Timbers are always so competitive with one another. ;)

Get some air, breathe once in a while... I don't know. I'll just wait another 6-7 weeks...

"Get some air"
"Breathe once in a while"

Clearly, these latest clues leave only 2 alternatives.

1) A GIANT new smoking area.
2) A new restaurant serving only deep-fried lungs on a stick.

I am so not competitive. In fact, I am the least non-competitive. So I win. - Peter Griffin
Or maybe she is just making fun of our interest in her park. Nah, it couldn't be that. ;) I am hoping for lungs on a stick. :)
Is that like fried oreos?
What!? You never had fried lungs before?
I like them with powdered sugar. Mmmm... ;-)
Only if they have the option for "real fruit topping." ;)

I still am hoping that this is another woodie...however I would not be toooo overly upset if they add masterblasters that put Schlitterbahn's to shame. :)

Well of course...fried lungs without real fruit topping is just gross.

And I too want another woodie but will still be happy with them if they disappoint me. :)

Well if it's not the most insane wooden coaster to ever be built on Planet Earth...and they are doing all this promotion for a Roller Soaker or something...

At least they'll know what their next installment should be. :D

Well...why else would you need to "breathe once in a while"? It sounds more and more like a water attraction with each clue. Needing to get some air, breathing...or perhaps I'm thinking maybe it's a lack of sleep that's doing this to me *SMACK* (head hits pillow and I'm out)

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Air? AIR? A B&M Flyer? Hmmmm...

Now that would be amazing in HW's forest setting! Realistic? No. But amazing nonetheless. :)

If I had to make a guess -- and this is purely a guess, no inside info here -- I'd say that in the 2006 season you'll find enthusiasts gravitating to Holiday World...perhaps even in groups.

Perhaps a new woodie by The Gravity Group, and the return of SRM????

Now that sounds like a solid guess. :)

SRM? Now I would love to see it return. But even I doubt that Holiday World will be ready for that quite yet. I hope I am wrong on that one!

Like Paula said get out get some air...breathe. We are thinking way too much and some of us will experience anticipointment! Some of us may be pleasently surprised though.

I fully expect another addition to the waterpark, without question! I would expect a couple more waterpark additions over the coming years as well.

I have no idea if a coaster is on the agenda or not. I like the idea of another coaster of any kind. Guess we will have to wait and see.

It is also plenty obvious to me that at some point they may also have expand the main amusement park offerings as the attendance keeps jumping like crazy. Maybe the trees are being removed not for a coaster....and not for the waterpark....but maybe an expanded train ride....hmmm...now if you were expanding the park as a whole....wouldn't you at least consider expanding the train ride into a transportation mode and not just a little circle of track. Now I admit I am reaching for this one quite a bit!

The point is we really wont know what Holiday World is up to until they announce it. *** Edited 4/26/2005 1:11:09 PM UTC by beast7369***

All what promotion?

I simply posted a HoliBlog entry ... then floated you CBers some hints (and some non-hints). :)

You guys are doing all the heavy lifting!

Ah, a mention of Lifting! AKA Lifthill.

Honestly, I would say HW is past the small park market at this point. However the charm and atmosphere of a small park remains.

It's not a accident they thrive in the boonies.
