A fishing lake with a waterski show?
Holiday World used to have one of those in Lake Rudolph back in the day. *** Edited 4/28/2005 2:50:17 AM UTC by Paul Drabek***

HW is building a state-of-the-art theater specifically designed to house Carrot Top for the next 10 years. Henny Youngman is the opening act.

Thinking about the clues that Paula gave I am guessing some sort of boat ride. LOL! ;) *** Edited 4/28/2005 12:17:52 PM UTC by beast7369***

I think next week's clues will get everyone in line. Together we'll figure this out, by hook or by crook.I hope that buoys your spirits
Must cast off, now ... this gill's got laundry to catch up on!
I've got it all figured out now:
They bought the 700 foot tall Arrow fishhook coaster that the Stratosphere was going to build. :)

Actually, the Willie Bartley Water Ski Thrill Show was back during our Santa Claus Land days. Performed on Lake Rudolph in 1959 through 1961, the show featured the "Human Kites."
Lake Rudolph has been enlarged since then -- it's hard to imagine, isn't it? If ever things slow down around here, it would be fun to work up a HoliBlog post about them. The oldphotos we have are pretty wild. Paula

Ideally, I'd like to do a history-themed HoliBlog post every week or two, but that may have to wait until the fall. At that point, we'll probably go back and forth between history and new construction. :)

Paula has got all you guys eating out of her hand and she is getting the buzz without spending a dime.
All the "big boys" out there could take some lessons from this.
It's good job and by making it fun the buzz only gets bigger.
I still tell Paula and Jeff that I'm out for their jobs...it's called "kidding on the square", an Al Franken reference..;)
As for it working, it will as long as they deliver something great. You risk anticipointment if you generate too much curiosity for a waterslide. ;)
